Absolutely beautiful sixguns! I like guns that are more plain, so the 2nd revolver is my favorite, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at either one! The. 44 special is my favorite revolver cartridge, I wish ruger would make another run of flat top Blackhawks in. 44 special, especially in stainless steel.

I've recently come to the conclusion that there are two types of firearms: revolvers and all the others. These pieces are beautiful. The comforting heft of a single-action 44 is not easily duplicated.

I love your custom 44spl Ruger guns there. I really like the 44spl cartridge. Why can't Ruger do a mass produced 44spl Blackhawk? They make a Super Blackhawk in 44mag, couldn't they alter it slightly and make it a dedicated 44spl? I will be honest, the most consumed ammo in my single action 44mags is 44spl, even my Redhawk. Why? It is good for plinking, and even for the once in a while close range opportunity hog, the 44spl does plenty to put them down. Lastly, 44spl is fantastic for loading snake shot loads. Lots of BBs and more than enough power. If you had to defend yourself with 44spl you could do just fine.
