Custom Shaved LS Truck Intake Manifold DIY

So i ended up chopping the intake up for clearance reasons, i decided to keep this intake because of the flow instead of buying something that fits and reduces power or having to spend some more money to have something that looks good and works good

I noticed that you shaved all three of the points off where you are supposed to connect the stock bracket for the throttle cable. How are you running the throttle cable? I would like to know because I accidently shaved mine off.

I’m running drive by wire on my car I believe that Bracket was for drive by cable throttle bodies!

@@genegene9144 to be honest probably like $200-300 and you would have to cover the shipping! It’s probably worth getting aftermarket one! For me it was worth it because I did it my self and spent on some painting materials and epoxy, hose barbs to relocated vacuum ports, if you want something different from everybody else and custom then this is it, but if you want to wait alittle bit I’ll be making a fully custom CNC intake manifold!

It had to fit in my 135i, as I was already buying so many parts I wanted to use what I can, I will be eventually swapping it for aftermarket but the flow on these stock truck ones are pretty good!

it makes it like atleast 2 inches lower considering the stuff that ran overtop of it, i had to make it fit inside my 135i

Imo this is pointless and is only for cosmetic purposes. It would be better if you were to hollow out the inside instead. Would open up a bunch more of power.

It actually clears my hood and is made to match the color of the block which is annodized Purple, i chose to use this as it flows better then any stock one other then tbss intake, im running forced induction so it doesn’t make much of a difference!
