Wow, his finished intake looks way better than the rest I have seen. They all look much better than stock, but his looks like it should be the focal point of the engine.

NIce! I have room under the hood for the truck intake, and I don't wanna spend money when the truck intake flows so well. Saving money and having a sweet looking intake to boot is a win.

Could this process be used to relocate the throttle body horizontally to the top of an intake manifold, then use a round aircleaner to mimic a carburetor engine?
@Lsxtransam83 Жыл бұрын
I’m sure it’s possible, these intakes already sit high as it is though. I wouldn’t recommend it, seems like a lot of work and then getting a throttle body to work correctly in that orientation would also be tricky.
@hugglepot Жыл бұрын
@@Lsxtransam83 Thankyou. It will be in a 33Ford engine bay so plenty of room above the manifold. I see plenty of carby intake manifolds for the LS but no Efi that enable the use of an original throttle body on top where a carby would normally sit. I'm restricted for space at the front as I am using the stock firewall.

I just saw this for the first time, I'm now 7-8 videos deep into my research. One thing nobody is discussing - what's the durability? One person said he's gone 2000 miles (which is nothing) another guy said he's running 10 lb of boost but that doesn't mean he ran it for any length of time. I'd be doing this on a test manifold before my daily driver... Any testimonials?

Michael Gedies well I explain why I do that in the video. Is it necessary... I think so. If you just go over the top, it won’t be as strong , and when you sand it, you would be removing the only material holding it together

Its better to use a DA so u won't get scratch marks. Instead of using body filler guys I encourage u 2 use plastic Weld filler its stronger better

Mforxza1987 garcia I disagree, d a sander will not leave less scratches that hand sanding or using a block. You just have to do it correctly. You are more Likely to cause issues with a powered sander. If you use the right grits you don’t have to worry about scratch marks
