I'm glad you just refinished it and didn't resort to using that box of explosives in your living room. 💣🐢💥

This turned out gorgeous. Interested to know which products you used for that Polaris white sparkle. I saw your instagram post where you’re wailing on this thing and I was instantly wondering over by this finish. Loved the green from before but this looks more refined.
@breilly6611 ай бұрын
Cheers R! Will update in description as I totally forgot about that! The green could have been spectacular. I guess I'm gonna have to try that hue again when something properly weird comes across the block. Holy cow tho dude..... in-between the rain and temp drops..... I was staring at it waiting for checking. Lol

B, with those locking tuners you don't even have to wind the string around the post. Open the lock, insert string, pull string and tune with very few turns.
@breilly6611 ай бұрын
Absolutely. I over wound them and then stared at it for a min like.... "yeaa that isn't necessary" lol

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Makes me want to do something with my Inverness Green Epiphone SG Classic
@breilly6611 ай бұрын
Yes! My evil plan is working! Thanks Lee! Is that the one with the p90s as well?
@leeasbury727311 ай бұрын
Yes. They sound great too! I have a set of Lollars lying around but the stock P90's are making me happy for now.

Love that model. The best part is the pickup placement. An absolute dimensional twin of the 1965 Special. Pickguard and horns an exact match. 65 style Only the top bevel is slightly higher. Gibsons own p90 special doesn't have the correct spacing. Epiphone pushed the bridge pickup into the perfect place. Those will just get better and better.

I loved the green but I think it was the right call to redo it. Looks awesome

Thanks G. 😊 Yea, the open feel of the finish, not stable enough. That green done well though would be something worth seeing.

I think you made the right choice. Love the details you added with the diamond on the neck and the lighting bolt. Great job!

Cheers Bry! Appreciate you! Hope your weeks been good! Was worried the details might be a bit much, but I think it's coming around!

The next big question...what style and color knobs??
@breilly6611 ай бұрын
Serious. To business...... could do a silver? Black knobs seem too much a path well walked.

@@breilly66 I'd go gold bell/top hat, non-reflector type.

I enjoy your playing each episode but this was one of those that it was even more amazing to me. Perfect tone, just beautiful. It was crazy to see some videos of you playing bass in your old band. The difference between the manic style of that to the 60s groove of this is crazy. I'd have refinished it too. Love the white. Also love the touch of the fuze ignitor crate at the end. Handled my fair share if those crates while doing EOD work.
@breilly6611 ай бұрын
Thank you J! Yea some of those shows were pretty energetic and we had a good time. Hopefully I'll be doing more original stuff again sooner than later. Holy hell though.... EOD, you must have nerves of steel. I've seen crazy. I taught 8th graders. But never had the kind of reserve it takes to handle that kind of proper explosivity. Appreciate you J! Have a beautiful Sunday!

Good decision, looks great! Sometimes you just have to stop and start from scratch again, nothing bad about that. 👍 PS: Take your time with the videos, no need to hurry or getting stressed.

Looks incredible man, I loved the green sparkle but this looks just as good. I've never seen a vibriola actually able to be used before. Curious as to what it'll sell for considering it has a cracked neck (not that I'd care) but I know it affects price.
@breilly6611 ай бұрын
Greatly appreciated! Yea the long and short vibrolas always came off almost ornamental to me. But once I started using the one on John Monroe (the 65), I absolutely fell in love with the design.

It is a bit of a switch. Personally I prefer the 3 inline white button stock units from the 60s. Good alloy, tolerances tight and nearly no backlash in the gearing
