Would my fuel pump solenoid affect my speedometer the odometer is not working anymore and the needle is at 60 miles an hour

Hi. I don't think fuel pump solenoid has anything to do with how your speedo works.

Awesome video! I found this when searching for some help as to why my instrument cluster wasn't working on my 2008 C50. I disassembled everything like shown in this video, and when I reconnected everything I managed to get my LCD display back, however my speedometer is still not working, and the display is giving me an "ODO" error. I tried resetting the speedo as shown in this vid, but without success. If by some small chance you are still noting comments on this vid, is there anything else you could suggest that I try? Thanks!

Hello mate. Definitely still noting comments. I'm glad you found the video useful. I recall ODO error but I'll be darned if I remember what it was. From the top of my head I can think of faulty sensor. When it's all plugged up, when you turn the ignition on, does the needle move in a specific way? That's one way of indicating errors.

I just replaces gauge face on my c50,key on ,engine running needle stays on 0 but when driving shows about 10mph more then actual speed. How do i fix this ?

Hi Bryan. I'm afraid I don't. Would love a C90...beastie of a bike. When you say ticking, does the needle keep jumping up and down? Sounds like speedo cable is not done up and is slipping?

@@Maraggie Everything works fine. Speedometer works fine. But clicking. I noticed a speed rotor on the schematic. What does it do?

@@bryanrobertson6048 Ah audible clicking. Got you now. Speed rotor? I'd say that's the bit that sits on front wheel axle and when rotating, it provides speed sensor with measurements. I take it speedo is digital on C90, not cable driven.

@@Maraggie It is an electronic speedo. I figured I'd order the rotor. I don't know, but I think the speed sensor is electronic with no moving parts to click. Sound right. I appreciate the help

Hi Kyle. I used to design these and fabricate myself back in 2013. Did quite a few for Intruders.

@@kyleburks4078 No bud. I stopped years ago as it wasn't time/cost effective. I was literally cutting the plexi by hand, doing the design work, printing, overlaying with uv protection etc.. Life took over and I moved on. Building custom bikes now...bit of a step up ;)
