Very nice, got me a good idea of acid etching and modding! At 8:33, how did you do the scales of the middle one? They look sick!
@mikekelley75895 жыл бұрын
You mean the jimping or the stonewash? The jimping, I just marked lines on the scales and got busy with a file. I'll see if I took video of that pilar.

What kind of vise is that your using?
@colinmartin97975 жыл бұрын
This is a type of hobby vise called a "panavise" They can be very expensive, but a few suction base models are on amazon for about thirty bucks. I use a cheap one all the time and it works great.

I grabbed it out of my garage. I use it because it holds the workpiece sturdy enough and it's portable to move around when I need to. It's a Harbor Freight micrometer stand. Just checked (they don't sell anymore). But here is an Amazon link to similar: www.amazon.com/dp/B00NFZ31NU/ Hope that helps.
