I love this build...It is a fantastic work. I have a Continental GT 535 in black. I am doing some mods to it not to resemble yours because I respect originality in work, but to give it a more cafe racer look based on my own likes. I installed a megaphone exhaust plus a longer seat with the larger cowl. I also painted the side foot supports in black, and placed a set of Pirelli MT60 tyres (those because old style tyres are almost impossible to find here in Ecuador...)

I completely identify , I had a thunderbird rode for 15 years, underpowered and crude , rode approx 85 k kms , stopped riding much for few years in between and went for interceptor , but despite interceptor being a far better machine in every aspect, I felt the soul was missing, it was hard decision to part with the interceptor but it was a victory of the heart over the mind and I got almost brand new 500 classic in squadron blue . Its not the best on power or refinement but it is everything you need in a bike , looks ergonomics, sound , customisable seat for a more low slung cruiser , yet retaining its masculine look. , far more nimble die to low weight compared to the interceptor and a very relaxing ride around hill where I live And where torque matters at low rpms , True classic !!

Nice built, 535 is purely more motorcycle than GT650. Many quality parts in 535 over 650. Only prominent and well known issue is chassis breakdown from rear foot rest side.

RE learn from him, awesome thump , you are truly a biker, are they tubeless or tube tyres ? What is the torque and bhp it produces. And are the exhaust sound under permissible limits ?

Hey, the tyres are tube type so cannot even put tubeless conversion kit. The performance is pretty much stock, the exhaust may not pass the decibel limit.

Does it chowk work properly ?while starting in the morning mine bike have to start by kick and basically when bike is cold then it's struggle to start with self and its chowk doesn't work . When it is started once then it is easy to start by self

Continental 535 is much better than continental 650. Brembo brakes, Paiolli shockers, Longer tank, Dug-Dug exhaust etc. It was designed by Harris Performance of England.

Hi Sir , my gt has a thick rear tyre ,thick in the sense the side walls are thicker.When I ride alone, it is not a problem but when I ride with pillion, it makes a touching sound in speed breakers from something in behind. I tried tightening the rear shocks but the problem is sometimes still present. I think it is same as you said that it touches the swingarm. My question is: is it risky to keep riding like this or will my swingarm be damaged in long run ? Is there any other way to mitigate the problem than cutting the swingarm like you have done?

Hi Das, it is definitely risky to ride like this and also the GT is not built to be ridden with a pillion per se. You must try the swingarm mod that I have done and also go easy on the bumps and lastly….. ditch the pillion! 😈

First of all brilliant built.. which magnetic tank bag is this that you've put on side panel? And one more thing..I've just bought a gt 535.. Is the heating engine and smell normal?....cz i am a bit worried if i should take it on a long ride or not..? Please suggest....it'll be a big help..

no worries bro even I to have gt 535 it has an heating issue in summer in traffic but when you ride it in clear roads where the air flow cools ur engine
