Is it recommended for residential buildings with old mosaic flooring

What happens if I go 2" deep with tech level150 in a shower 4x6 area. Just wondering I use schuter pans and these areas are usually recessed 3.5 inches deep so base needs to come up 2" so pan will be level with existing concrete hight.
