@@jack8356 I don’t re-gap them. I return them as defective. Check your plugs. I’ve had at least 4 or 5 that I can distinctly remember having been off-spec upon delivery with no damage to packaging.

Use a piece of rubber hose to gently lower your sparkplug into the hole and thread it in.

Another thing to always check is the wire side of the plug. The contact on the end is threaded and if its not tight it can cause a miss too.

Also, always check the depth of the plug vs the oem one. Don’t rely on the auto parts store to sell you the right one. I seen it whe the piston hits the plug and closed the gap

I guess it's because I'm old and back then all spark plugs had to be properly gapped even when brand new and right out of the box. So I can't imagine getting a set of brand new plugs and not checking the gap.

I need to check my gaps. I had a misfire in literally all 8 cylinders so I replaced the plugs and wiring. Now it’s misfiring in cyl 2, 4, 6. I know i have it wired right though. And when I installed all the plugs I made sure the gap looked decent but I didn’t actually measure

yes, look up the gap size for your specific car and engine. you can get a spark plug gapper for like 99 cents, easy fix!

I've seen it out of the box like that. Always check before leaving the parts store. And always check the gap, especially with iridium plugs, if you have to bend them far, they usually break.

😂😂😂 customers make me laugh. Had one on a 2009 rdx turbo. Guy had a P2263. Well he replaced the turbo (didn't have to) and problem kept occurring. Well I look at it and find the wastegate fully adjusted open 😂 and his sensor for his boost was soft set and making it mad 😂 I want customers to learn about their cars but if you need help diag something bring it to a pro and don't waste money that's what I'm trying to help you do. I would have told him he just needs the eyelet for the adjustment for the wastegate not a whole turbo. However I don't know another Acura dealer that will just replace that because Honda tells you it needs a turbo

Check gaps. I didn’t check mine and ended up spending over a thousand dollars chasing the misfire then I learned about gaps and replaced and checked them and boom no more misfire. Those plugs lasted 400 miles. You live and you learn tho

I replaced plugs in my jeep wrangler years ago, they didn't have champions in stock but substituted AC delcos, after a couple weeks it developed a misfire, initially i thought it was a fuel injector, wasn't it. pulled the plugs and the AC delcos porcelain had reddish insulators, got Champions and no more misfires

Probably dropped them into the engine and whacked the seat. I usually put them in with a magnet and begin them that way so they don’t cross thread. And lol of course check the gap
