do we need to remove base snippet for google tag manager for the rest of datalayer code as there is also base snippet for google tag manager

you're absolutely right. only one base snippet is required if you're going to use more than one dataLayer snippets

@@TrackingAcademy when are going to see server side tracking. what do you thick which is more effective, server side or client side

Server side tracking is 30% more better than client side. I am planning to make SS video, the only issue i am facing is that, its too complex to explain in 10min video. The videos might extend to 30min. So I am Just waiting for a bit more requests to come in for SS Tracking. If there are more requests, I will go for that. Rightnow, yours is the second request. I will wait for 8 more.

@@TrackingAcademy If i remove the base snippet from each of the event pixel code, and only leave GTM snippet in theme.liquid. Then only the pageview pixel is firing and none of the additional events are firing. And if I leave the base snippet in each of the event datalayer snippets then for pageview there are 8 pixels firing. Can you create a video guide for all events together, rather than any one of them?

The Customer Events does not work with theme.liquid files. So if the GTM Code snippet is removed from the Customer Pixel, all the events will not work.
