@@lotusinn3 Where I was stationed, in my particular squadron, an airman's opinion accounts for crap. When they want to know how you feel about a certain thing, they will tell you. The military wouldn't work if every Joe thought their opinion of how to approach a mission mattered. And they drill that into your skull from day one. When I got out of the military and started working a customer service job, I saw how irate people always got what they wanted. That just blew my mind.
@lotusinn34 жыл бұрын
pixpusha Oh wow. I can see the logic in that though, you’re right about that. If every service member thought there opinion mattered, it would be chaos. Just like the chaos that comes it experiences as a civilian, with everyone thinking their opinion is important and valid just because it is their opinion. I come from a military family and have always felt a pull to the service, it’s always nice to hear from actual veterans about their experiences, good or bad. Also, thank you for your service! I hate that old customer service adage “the customer is always right.” Now customers feel entitled to treat workers with disdain and suffocating irateness and are pretty much applauded. Crazy.

Laughing Hyena most americans believe that middle eastern people arent asian
@timmydirtyrat60156 жыл бұрын
Well technically Russians could be considered Asian but nobody calls Russians Asians, its more about the person rather than the actual geographic location, just like how a descendant of someone born in China who is born in America is considered Asian ever though they weren't born in an Asian country.
@goodfortune43176 жыл бұрын
@@timmydirtyrat6015 1- Someone with Chinese/Han heritage born in America is still an ethnic Han and Far East Asia is their native region so even they refer them as 'Asian', they are still factually correct. 2- Ethnic Russians are Baltic-Slavs, the European part of Russia is their native land and 80% of ethnic Baltic-Slavic Russians live in the European part of the country. Russians are not Asian. Russian Federation the country is a Eurasian country geographically and the Asian part of the country is conquered by white-European Russians in 16th and 17th century. Ethnic groups for exp: Tuvan people living in the Asian part of Russian Federation are Asian. 3- You can not change geographic facts.

Melania wore a pussybow blouse to a debate after comments made by her husband about groping women were released. She wore an “I really don’t care, do you?” jacket while visiting undocumented kids being detained at the border. You can’t tell me that Trump made her do those things, or that she’s innocent in all of this. Men always want to make her seem like she’s this helpless, docile little doll Trump drags around everywhere behind him because she’s beautiful. No woman Trump has ever been involved with was weak. All of them had strong personalities, even Marla. Cut the crap. She knows exactly what she’s doing, knew exactly what she was doing when she married him, and no, she really doesn’t care. 🙄

We apologize profusely for the error we have made...
@senselocke7 жыл бұрын
Gary: KZbin added the ability to make bold and italics a few months back (or further, can't recall), but never added any hint or indicator. It's laid out here: support.google.com/youtube/answer/6000964 Simple details: Put a "*" before and after a segment renders it in *bold.* Put a "_" before and after a segment renders it in _italics._ Put a "-" before and after a segment renders it in -strikethrough.- There are issues. Like, to make "word.", with a period, you have to put the asterisk after the period, as the code considers it just another character. And using dashes--like this--can sometimes blank out a whole paragraph. But it's better than nothing. Have fun!

I think people are missing the humor in this. Which isn't to say that it's the kind of humor everyone wants, but it's there. Melania is treated like such a one-dimensional character, she's put down by quite a few, and by throwing her into the cliched love story it both humanizes and goes for the gag in making her the unlikely love interest. Looking at the psychology of shopping, it expands playfully on her public character pretty thoughtfully. Meanwhile, the writers are really throwing together a pretty potent mix of cliches, which somehow really speak to people. A spider in a box under her bed? It's ridiculous. But look at how much it makes her a more relatable person. Those pathetic cliches work. The real question here is whether the blue eyed mountain lion (was it?) represents Trump, or whether the spider does. Is Melania protecting him? It's a pretty damned thoughtful piece of comedy, which avoids the yucks but makes you reconsider who Melania might really be. There's my twenty cents.
@HibahMirzaChughtai7 жыл бұрын
This is beautiful - thank you for your insight.
@nuthinmuffins50737 жыл бұрын
Speaking as a blue-eyed panther (spiritually, that is), I would very much resent being compared to trump. I might even tear someone to shreds if they did so. And, although I'm not fond of personal interactions with spiders, they also do not deserve the comparison. I don't think he's either creature. I hope the writers feel similarly.
@shatley1237 жыл бұрын
I don't know if like people perpetuating the idea that Melania is a victim in this though. There is really no evidence to show that she is in anyway fighting for women, or against bullying, etc., yet there is some sort of perception that is what she is doing behind the scenes.

the spider metaphor is about melania being afraid to speak to others and how shes worried about her surroundings. people expect her to be the perfect person so he never opens up about her feelings (thus her caging the spider in a small box). when she finally met the man she was talking to, she gave him the spider along with a thanks (to symbolize that she finally got to open up to the person who listened to her and that shes no longer afraid of speaking). he opened the box, the only person who listened to her, because he was the person she opened up to. he opened that box up for her, and the spider that she feared would crawl out.
