When I did arrive, I noticed that, for some reason, the signals from the antenna and from my other devices were not getting to my television as normal. My mother revealed that, after she arrived and before I did, she started hearing an electronic beeping sound. Desperate to turn it off, she started pushing all the buttons on all of the devices in my living room. In the process, she ended up turning off one of the input switches I regularly used. It turns out that the mysterious beeping to which she was responding was her mobile phone ringing.
