Funny how people are upset with the content when this show started, and for the longest time, was about the day to day fabrications and installations of the Soundman shop. Those were some great episodes. The whole crew fucking with each other. Man those were long too. But it has evolved. For me, its gone from watching a weekly TV show with lots of characters, to following the day to day life of one of two of the main characters. I get why people are complaining about the content. That's what they come to see. But for some of us, its more about the content creator. Thanks for doing what you do Doug, and keep up the cuckstomer orders. Its a nice flash from the past.

I figure that box done round ‘bout 2x bigger than you need. It gunna bottom out. Would’ve been nice to see the WinISD work to try to follow along with what you are trying to do. Admittedly, its been 18 years since I left the car audio industry, but when the hell did plywood become good for a box? Back in the day it was the worst you could possible use due to the laminating separating. We always used MDF, sometimes particle board if it were for cheap work. Never plywood.

So I'm mecp certified and all I've been told is to use MDF panel. Why the Birch or maple then?
@jessied7334 жыл бұрын
Birch is a denser, harder "wood" than mdf as maple even more so. Mdf is easier to work with because its not a ply board so better on the router table. Takes a honed skillset to work with the harder woods cuz they not cheap!!
@flexart1744 жыл бұрын
@@jessied733 thanks for the response but does it change the quality of the sound at all? I knew MDF is easier to with with ?
@jessied7334 жыл бұрын
@@flexart174 in a short answer: yes. Birch is way stronger.and if stained will look amazing. With less reverb/bass is more accurate.

How much power is he throwing at the 8s? And why not use a flared port, 4" precision port would be less turbulent than without a flare. Cost efficiency does make cents, long as the customer is happy. Keep em' going guys!!
