I’m not following… I know how difficult it is to explain things and I have a Autell also… What are you explaining and how are you coming to that conclusion and what do you mean by 3 different modes of the alternator??? I’m doing a video here shortly with my power probe. I have overcharging I believe from the voltage regulator?? Great video I wish I could follow your terminology better 😅. Thank you for the time spent. Love watching other people explain and the effort is there so gets a like and subscribe my man. 🍻

I’ve got P0621, I recently bought the car and it died on me while I was on a bank run for work and luckily there was a woman behind me and offered a jump but in all the commotion I hooked it up backwards on my battery in the trunk and it wouldn’t start back afterwards ended up buying a new battery and got it home ended up changing the alternator as well but the code is still current most days my dash lights are dim unless I turn off the AUTO lights but it hasn’t died or went into Power Mode or anything but I feel like it’s hesitating to start right away some days I was just wondering the best course of action just put the alternator on last month or so.

if I may ask a question not relevant to alternators but relevant to fuel rail pressure. What is the correct graph in an engine scanner of the fuel rail pressure from engine off to crank, to engine running. I would appreciate it if you could share that

@@dimitrismoures I'm at the gym... Just reading between the lines on my part. I don't have these particular values. But typical fuel pressure for fuel injection is 45-50 psi typically in static condition, not running. Usualy running 40-45psi.

Reading, trail and error honestly. Looks I would experiment allot on my free time with scopes and broken parts to put what I read into application. Stuff is pretty simple because with oscilloscope you essentially just looking at patterns and comparing. I have basic knowledge of wiring and if I don't know something, I'll just look up what I don't to help blend the info to understand. I've taken a few courses, like day classes through O'Reilly's, they just have interesting case studies I can pick through.

@parts shooter, Hey man, i have the same issue with my 2014 Chevy Trailblazer. It happened yesterday, I try to clean the taillight and its assembly, after that the left side was busted, to check, I try to use the right bulb and it works. After that, the "Service Battery Charging System" I scan it and the P0621 came up, I try to clear the codes and use it, then scan, it pops up again. I check the battery voltage with off engine, it is 12.6V then if its running, it is 14.6v to 15v. Do you think I should check, clean and tighten the wire that connects on the Alternator? Thanks Man and more power!

I got p1638 on my 4.3L v6 2002 chevy.... Car cranks and starts fast but imediatly starts to misfire. Fuel, spark plugs, wires, grounds, coil, regulators, sensors, all green. Goot some rich conditions too. The main error code: p1638 and bank 1 and 2 circuit low power. Went straight for de red/orange cable... Bingo! It was busted and melting, someone did tried fix it with some tape and another piece of cable. Gonna have my mechanic fixing it up this week. My theory is that it wasnt sendind power enough to de pcm, and the pcm didint have enough power to heat up de o2 sensors. And if hot or cold weather the car starts randonly slugish. Olny works normal at warm weather.

Long video. What caused the p0621 & p0622 fault codes to come on, along with the battery light staying on. Supposedly all the issues started after he jumped a vehicle that had a low battery. He bought a starter and installed it, said he's replaced the alternator twice. Wish I could find 1 youtube video with both codes showing and they get right to the point.......

You're joking right? The time it take for both of us to have an exchange, you could've watch the video for clarity and answers.

@@partsshooter Not my vehicle step son won't listen. I figured it could be a bad plug to the alternator but he claims this all started after jumping some guy.He's gone now so who knows...... I told him to charge up his battery but he left my charger 60 miles north of here.... So the ''L-Wire'' is Orange & the ''F-Terminal'' is the double wire plug. I just caught that while watching the video twice. My hot headed stepson went back to his place.... I'm wondering if the problem is the plug, not the alternator.....
@partsshooter2 жыл бұрын
@@montydaniels1054 I'm simplifying things here. Take a multimeter and test the plug wires. With key on engine off, all wires should read 12v. If not, check related wire circuit. If things are good at the plugs. Check the large battery wire from alternator while car is running, there should be over 13v. Coming directly from red wire to battery from alternator. If there is 13v, check the positive at the battery, if there's less than 13v. Check main fuse if available. Likely they hooked jumper cables up backwards, that's commonly the issue to what you're describing
@montydaniels10542 жыл бұрын
@@partsshooter Well he claimed he removed the battery, dropped it off at auto zone and they charged it and tested it and it's good. I'm doubting he did that. But today he drove here to our house and after I scanned his car, he started it and came in and said he had to go because he only had 10 volts left in his battery. I seem to think he's not doing anything but wanting us to pay to have it looked at and fixed in a garage but we'll see.... But I think you're right, with his battery in the trunk, I have no idea how he jumped it or if he did do it right... Funny thing is he has a hot box battery jump system he keeps in his back seat. I'm betting it was dead so he used his car........
