I think putting together kits is one of the most exciting parts of the whole experience. Can’t wait to see what you put together for WOB.

Make sure it's paint and primer in one !!!!!!! 😮 You should of mentioned. I been a construction painter 26 years in Oklahoma. Paint trim first . Easier to cut in walls than it is cut in trim. Same would go for something like this . I'm in larp as well since 12 years old . But just getting into the Eva foam crafting, only 1 year experience on the Eva stuff. As for weapons, I use blue camp mat from Walmart. , just some helpful hints as I watch this video. Not greatest idea to add oil base stain to water base paint . I would suggest wet wash. Like acrylic crafting paint that's very watered down for weathering. awesome job. Couple of cans of Clear plastidip would work to. Thank you for sharing video and your creations

This makes me want to finish my foam shield. Looks awesome!
@medievalashley2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! So you have one you’re needing to finish too?! What’s your design?
@joelining2 жыл бұрын
It's a round "wooden" shield. Need to make the boss which is gonna be a challenge for me and then I'll be ready to pick a design and paint! Probably something in nature like a tree or animal
@medievalashley2 жыл бұрын
@@joelining I’d be interested to see how to change up the boss on a foam shield.

@@medievalashley Punished Props made one by heating foam and pushing it into a bowl, but I tried and failed 😄 I'll have to watch the video again and see what I did wrong

How is it holding up? Does the paint stays good on the shield?
@medievalashley Жыл бұрын
It held up really well! Lasted through two events. About to paint a new shield for a different event, and will use this same method again.
@medievalashley Жыл бұрын
& to clarify, it’s lasted through 2 events, and is still going strong for future ones.
