Customize Your Lexus: Start Up Image

Slightly different on 2013 and 2014 models . There are two folders required and not 1 folder labeled "Image". On our 2013 we had to make two folders labeled Exactly: DisplayoffImage and also StartupImage . we were limited to 3 files per folder. May as well do both folders at the same time on a USB flash drive formatted to FAT32. Place 3 JPG files in each folder. It takes several minutes to transfer so be patient (estimate 5-8 minutes). The larger the file size, the longer the wait. It's a small screen (I believe 10.25 inches) so don't worry about 4K images - you'll only wait longer due to the slow transport. In pixels I believe either is fine: 1280*480 or 1920*720

Very important information, the USB stick has to be set to FAT32 and not NTFS or else the car won't detect it.

There should be a way to change the "default" display from "map" display to the "Home" display. This display is much more useful and informative Are there any plans to make this function available?

Yes, this is a setting you can select. You can also change the screen change setting so to keep the screen on whichever one you prefer until you select the map or another one to display.

I followed the instructions here, and on Lexusdrivers channel exactly with no luck. Proper folder naming, file size, file name size are all correct. The Customize images screen is there but all options are grayed out. This is an RC-F model which should work fine. Any tips are appreciated. I'm good with cars and computers so I'm not sure what I am missing. Thanks in advance.

I will ask our Technology Specialist but it could be as simple as making sure you are in park or giving the file enough time to load. Let me check into this and get back to you.

This did not work for me. I ensured the USB stick is formatted as FAT32, with a root folder called "Image"... I uploaded a .jpg file; under 32 characters and under 10mb file size. The vehicle recognizes the USB and attempts to copy, but eventually says "unable to copy, please check owners manual" --What am I doing wrong?
