Recommended in 2023. Hopefully these manufacturers get a grip and keep producing these sorts of bikes.

good morning, I have a vulcan 07 classic 1600. I bought the bike with nothing on it and I am looking to do the same thing as you did to your Vulcan. This video is a GREAT start and guide to help me with my build. Thank you for posting the video!

Beats the hell out of Harley, I ride with Harley guys and tell me horror stories of repairs they have had. I will stick to my 2006 Vulcan classic 1600. They're fine bikes !

I have a 2002 Nomad with Vance and Hines Bagger on it. I put 33,400 miles on it in 6 months right after I bought it. My butt hurt after about 30 miles on the stock seat so I changed it out for a Mustang seat with a passenger pad with a back rest. I have my stock handle bars attaches to Harley pull back risors. I road a Yamaha Road Star , Harley counter balanced Fat Boy before deciding on the Nomad and that way I have my Nomad set up now, it's still the most comfortable bike I've ever rode.

I have a black one, and I've thought of doing the same thing. The Batwing is all I would do to it now. Nice smaller touches, but that's too much.

Any Harley batwing shield will work. Most will require you to drill 2 additional holes.

I have a Vulcan 900 classic. I was going to upgrade to a Harley Road king but after seeing what you have done with your bike i am going to go for a Vulcan nomad. With all the money I'll save i might be able to something like this hopefully. that candy apple paint made that chrome pop!!. You have a very nice motorcycle.
@Madcatdave9 жыл бұрын
+Cavalry I really like the nomad. it was a little heavy at first but you get used to it. it's transmission is nice. I prefer it over the harley road king but that's just a personal preference. I would highly recommended the nomad.

Hi I have a 2008 1600 Nomad with 38,000 miles on it and it coming a bit noisy , i think it my chain tensionner, do you think i can damage anything if i run the bike has is for the end of the season Michel from Canada Thanks .
@brianpeniuk62028 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will cause serious engine damage if you continue to run any bike with a damaged cam chain tensioner! If it is the chain tensioner, they can generally be replaced with a new or modified one if caught early on. If its late into a tensioner flying apart, it could mean more costly repair if the tensioner parts fall down into the oil or grind on other engine parts. Its also unsafe to run like this as the cam chain will be flapping around and can aid in ruining the engine by affecting timing, or worse snapping the chain.
