Customizing the Ferrari $25 RC Drift Car

Customizing the "Fauxrarri" F430 $25 RC car from amazon. With a little paint and some custom parts, this cheap drifter looks completely different and massively improved. I hope this goes to show that you don't need a huge budget to have some fun and build something unique. Thanks everyone for your suggestions on how I should build this car. A very fun little project that looks great and is still fun to drive!

Have you tried F80 by Resione? It's an elastic resin. I've used it to print tires for some of my 24th and 25th scale models.

That car looks a million times better now! I actually have a diecast 1/24 scale model truck that I'm in the process of transplanting onto a toy grade RC chassis, however I'm hoping to upgrade the electronics to be fully proportional and I was wondering if you had any advice please? I'm planning for it to be a pro tour themed rig! Maybe SCX24 or possibly FMS electronics, unless there's something for less money!

There’s a ton of electronics you can buy, but I would recommend a radio link or dumbo rc transmitter combo, along with some cheap standard servo, and any generic brushed esc. The stock motor will probably be fine.

@theclutteredgarage1792 Thanks. I already have a couple of micro I know FMS has a transmitter radio & receiver/ESC combo for around $35 or so. I just wasn't sure if there are any cheaper options out there since I'd just be installing proportional controls onto a cheap toy grade RC.
