how to make a custom cape of Marvel Legends Magneto?? Awesome video.
@poisonberryeatingaleks57808 жыл бұрын
I honestly like the Batman without the cape. I do see what u mean where he doesn't look as buff or tough but it's more eye appealing to me without the cape.

Cool vid! I actually did a battle-scarred batman and made the cape ratty on the edged added a few well placed holes. I cut the plastic on the cape with the bat fringes and it looked cool.

+WylunCustoms do you think you can do a bendy wire custom cape i mean if you have time if you want to it would be awesome
@graefx8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this. I've been considering giving my avengers legends movie Thor a cloth cape and getting another Greg Capullo batman and making him a cape. Think I prefer the half circle look. I've fallen in love with the cape on the One:12 Batman.
@GuyWebz8 жыл бұрын
I did the same thing for the Thor but mine is the marvel select one
@graefx8 жыл бұрын
Guy Webz Hmm. Ultron Select Thor is rather inexpensive now....I am tempted.
@WylunCustoms8 жыл бұрын
+graefx if you're referring to a cape that goes all over the figure including to the front, than ya i agree with you, its a great way to have your batman! thanks for watching!
@graefx8 жыл бұрын
+WylunCustoms Yep! the mezco one that you're customizing. That cape just had the right 'romantic' flow and feel to it. I want all figures to have a cape like that. lol.

+WylunCustoms I used this method on a batman unlimited figure, it works great

Proper way to make batman capes... Exacto knife around the cowl removing the rubber cape, then lift the back of the cape while you slice the back attachment off. Buy fabric from Joanne's fabrics,I use thin pleather.looks movie quality and is inexpensive. Take the removed rubber cape to get the length and neck cutout shape correct on the fabric. Draw half circle from the bottom of where you marked the length on your fabric. Now cut it out. Use locktite glue to glue the cape to the correct spits on the base of the cowl. Your cape can now be thrown back over the shoulders,movie and hi end neca and mezco style. Otherwise all you're doing is making your 20-50 dollar figs look like the 10 buck kids toys

do you have a video to do it as you described?

you can make the cape bulky with clear coat but it make it stiff too but it's your choice

How would this work for something like the planet X batman? The one with the purple cape?

Can u custimise the normal bat suit the grey one
@GuyWebz7 жыл бұрын
I have done this with my Batman figures using my old dracula cape, which I no longer use, until my mom found it in my closet with so many cuts and holes and I ended up taking the blame lol 😂

LOL hey make sure u get ur parents permission!

I don't like how you did the capes. you made the capes rectangular instead of the circular, like they do in the movie
@WylunCustoms8 жыл бұрын
ya i used to do the circular look for my past batman figures.. while it looks nice it just gets in the way and it was too big.. i changed to this for now b/c its alot more simple and easier for other people to do if they wanted to. thanks for your input! if you want, you can check my past batman customs and you will see i have capes that drape down all the way to the front of his chest, covering the whole body.
