Your tutorial gave me a better understanding of enclosing the neck than anything else I've seen or read. Thank you so much! Please make more tutorials?

You really do the best tutorials.... I'm sorry you never did more (but grateful for the ones you did!).

I'm sorry I didn't do more as well. I returned to full time employment 18 months ago. Ironically I'm now watching my own videos again to learn how to do it after just going back to my machines after many months! :)

Great tutorial. I have read about this method before but not really understood . Today I successfully completed a tuck stitch jumper with this neckline.

Thank you Jonathan for such a helpful tutorial. I have done a cut and sew neckline (back in the 1990s) and although there are some similarities your method is much more understandable and, having just tried it, works really well. Many thanks!

Realize this is old but would be nice to see the cutting & sewing (serger) part too. think it would help beginners if they can watch the whole process but in stages ;)

Great video and channel. What machine would you recommend for me I am trying to make little 1 inch to 4-inch size little dolls and wants very close or tighter type stitches that normally you can get with 2.5 knitting needle size but that's very hard on my hands so I thought this machine would work just don't know which machine I should get. Can you recommend some to me? Thank you

Very informative. I think the serger/overlock feels "safer" to me, as I haven't convinced myself that the cut edge won't unravel. I have seen this method done, but with circular knitting, in place of the two pieces attached. What is, exactly, an "Industrial Neckline"? Thanks for your help.
@jonathanscrafts6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment Linda. Industrial neckline is basically the name given to the encasement, often done on an industrial scale to quickly and effectively hide the overlocked edges on cut and sewn garments

Why did you do a hem and a ribbing? Why not make the ribbing the piece that closed the hem? I am confused?
@countkostaki5 жыл бұрын
I have a real struggle to attach my ribber - whatever I do the two carriages do not seem to lock completely together, and it means that both the ribber and the knit carriages are very difficult to push. I have the same machines that you have, do you have this same problem? I have confined my ribber to under the sofa because of this...!
@suegurney46663 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason you just need to make sure the ribber and main bed are set up so the space between the beds are not too far apart . Don’t give up try again and look at the videos on line which show you how to st it up . Good luck
