I remember reading that there was more content of the Legion conquering even more of inner Vegas if you do their side quests as well as Caesar letting you go to Colorado and you go to a Large Legion trading hub where there are no monsters or mutants because the Legionaires cleared them out and you get to buy and sell a bunch of legion wares.

@@-CrimsoN- If you want to try to create something more smaller, something that could work is creating a pre-nuked version of Dry Wells, add like a bunch of traders or farmers who prefer Legion rule, hell you can even add Slaves that say that their Centurion treats them fair or something, or some Legionaries that aren't the generic "haha ave me serve caesar cause me stronk you prgiligate so me rape and kil" with interesting backstories or something, I just like brainstorming ideas.

For stuff not shown in the video or left in files. From what I saw from dev posts. There was going to be more map into Arizona to show more legion territory(Although they said only 2 or 3 towns) to see what life was like for normal people there in a couple of towns.(Basically if you are merchant or just a regular citizen who wasn't a slave it was pretty much paradise. No bandits existed in Legion territory.) Cottonwood was going to be way bigger. There was going to be 2 legion companions Ulysses and Dead Sea. They were also going to let you play after the battle of hover dam and some files for the ncr victory version of it are still in the game such as recorded dialogue from the npcs. The dam would have legionaries all over Caesar would be ruling from the strip for the rest of the game. All bandit npcs anywhere near new vegas would no longer exist. The casinos no longer had gambling, prostitutes, or drugs. All NCR camps would have legionaries in them.

I never knew there was a cut option to ally with the BoS in the Legion questline. The fact that you couldn't always bugged me - the Legion and the BoS should actually be natural allies - they both oppose the NCR and both want to keep pre-War technology out of the hands of the common people. There's no logical reason for them to oppose each other.

Well, the Legion is not exactly vehemently opposed to the use of energy weapons. They just don't have the training, production or logistic of supplying their troops with it. Even NCR can't pull that off, and they have a much more powerful industry.

I know most people don't finish the Van Graffs questline because you have to kill Cass to do it, but if you do, you learn the Legion is trying to make a deal with them to buy energy weapons and ally against the NCR. Gloria backstabs them because she figures (correctly) that if the Legion wins, they'll just turn on the Van Graffs and forcibly assimilate them.

Damn I started replaying New Vegas and watching old content and being able to take over towns with the Legion is something that the game desperately needs. My God it's so annoying having a good 70% of the map hostile and 30-40% of quests unavailable because the game is super NCR centric. Being able to capture towns with the Legion and maybe getting some new quests to go along with them would have been amazing.

It makes more sense for the legion to side with the BOS, although their ideologies are at a contrast, the goals they aim to achieve would Mutually complement each other. The BOS wants to prevent old world technology falling into the hands of the masses, while the legion believe humanity should not be overtly reliant on old world technology as that's what incurred the wrath of Mars, one side wants no tech and the other wants to horde tech, so it's easily seen that they would not have any conflict of interest

The Novac content was cut because it was unrealistic that Boone didn't kill them all single-handedly from 5 miles away atop the dinosaur before anyone else got a chance to join the fight.

So I definitly messed up my counting at some points but i added all the small 4 man red tents and grey 6 man larger tents from the cut legion fort area and there should be around 484 soldiers stationed there like i said though i at some point probably messed up or didn't account for a tent or two EDIT * not including the soldiers seen there at the time of that recording and maybe some soldiers died or something like that so there may not be that exact amount and I'm not specifying rank either but If i added correctly and the entire camp was completely full The amount of soldiers there woulve be around 484

So much potential Im always wanted Silus as legion companion, i would imagine there will be quest where caesar will give a task to courier to assassinate Silus, courier have option either to just kill him or help him escape, if courier help him escape back to caesar, so Silus is sent to be courier's companion, this is actually good lore considering legion content was lacking Also victor and benny should be possible companion too, every of 4 factions should give one "special companion" for courier that are only available if courier choose their faction

Maybe it was someone from Bethesda that told Obsidian to cut the content because they wanted the game to play on consoles e.g. PS3 and Xbox 360 without the loading time taking to long or the infinite loading screen. Plus, they were scared about the game getting that 86 or more metacritic score therefore losing some profits due to the contract with Obsidian.

I'm racking my brain trying to understand how the Legion, dressed in football gear and using machetes and spears, could even touch one Brotherhood Knight, in ACTUAL armor and using laser weapons. Black Isle made Fallout 1 and 2, they did not make Fallout NV, that was Obsidian. And no, NV was panned on launch, not for its story, but due to the fact that it was insanely broken in terms of bugs. When put into that context, cutting the content was fairly reasonable since it's less stuff to debug.

Honestly most of this cut content would have fleshed out fallout nv, it's a shame they were so rushed when making this game, it could have been generation defining, not just "good"
