Don't know anything about the fruit. I have never been on this property before until now. I suspect it's an old gravenstein tree, but would know for sure without seeing the apple. If it's a gravenstein, these were very common in the day, and getting a graft from an old tree in your area should be pretty easy to obtain.n Cheers!
