When bass energy gets to the back of a room and there's nowhere to go. Those panels tamed 63 and its first harmonic ~160. Sounds a lot more honest now for sure!

Acoustics are a huge issue for us. We're in a pretty classically styled gym / family life center. Cinder block walls covered in cloth-like paper, rubberized floor, two levels, etc. Getting even sound in there is really tough.
@collabworship2 жыл бұрын
We had a similar situation in one of our previous buildings where we were also in a classic gym. Super tough! We highly recommend at least having a consultation with Falcon Acoustics to see what they would recommend and what it would cost. They've done some incredible transformations to gym auditoriums before! Send them a message here: forms.gle/TCetXZZVrkJbh2gMA

So, you didn't test below 63hz? Why not? And what exactly are those tests that you performed?
@francisard71792 жыл бұрын
I work in an unusual shaped church (its almost a circle for the main hall, like an actual circle) so the acoustics are extremely hard to tame. On top of that since its historic, permanent treatment is almost out of the option. On the other hand, the room sounds amazing when not using heavily amplified sources. It's rad :^) just wanted to share.

We are having noise complaints from our neighbors, even when we have the volume very low. would you recommend on getting panels ?
@collabworship10 ай бұрын
It's not gonna make much of a difference for that, unfortunately. It's more about controlling how it sounds in the room. You'd have to really beef up your walls to keep the sound from leaving your building.

I mix in a room that is 13m x 13m and 6m high. Walls are concrete. Carpets on the floor. Ceiling is some white insulation. When im in the room talking with someone, there is an echo. We have done a rt60 test and it’s over a second. I’m not allowed to treat the room.

Yikes man, that's tough. Wishing the best for you.

@original_pokey I'd recommend sending this video to the people in charge that don't want to do acoustic treatment. Maybe it will help them understand the importance and what can be gained by doing it.

@@collabworship I’ve sent all the videos and articles that explain it. Can’t do anything more than just do what I can.

@original_pokey Sorry to hear that... We will pray for them lol. Hopefully, the idea will get through to them at some point. Bad acoustics are no doubt very frustrating...
@stevecarter67072 жыл бұрын
@original_pokey if you're allowed to use portable/breakdown options one way is to make some frames out of PVC pipes with corner attachments and hang some medium heavy cloth on them. Instant screen that is easy to set up and tear down. Not the best but they will help with the ambient reverb in the room.

What is the cost range of these panels? We just built 40 of our own panels for about $2500 and I don't want to regret all that investment now haha.
@collabworship2 жыл бұрын
Price varies based on size of panels and how many are needed. It is still much cheaper to build your own (and you probably know why after the effort you just put in to build them). But self-made panels don't even come close to the quality of the panels we got from Falcon. Definitely worth the investment if budget allows.
@AndrewRaia2 жыл бұрын
@@collabworship Our panel quality is very good but like you said, they only absorb. Too much work to make these shapes. Definitely have to balance the budget and what else you want to do but treatment of some kind is a must.

A LIST of the changes doesn't help- a BEFORE and AFTER SOUND TEST is what you should have presented here!
@collabworship2 жыл бұрын
Considering our problem was mainly low frequencies and consistency, there really is not a good way for us to record and A&B for you to hear. When it comes to live sound, most of the time, you just have to be there. That's why we measured the before and after, so you could see the difference.
