The man with the braids was so sweet for trying to find a reasonable explanation for all of these people crimes. Like he never said “you look like a criminal who would do this” he was more like “you borrowed a gun from a buddy you didn’t know was stolen and then went out to have a good time at a party cuz you just look so fun and shit got wild and they went crazy with the charges” 😂meanwhile the defense attorney is like “you fit the stereotype I saw on TV”

i agrée & disagree. it’s definitely a sad situation & i feel for her (especially because her mom put her in that dangerous situation), & yes her mom stole the car. but she knew it was stolen, & she drove it anyway. underage at that. she’s still liable for her actions. she still committed a crime, not even just knowingly being in the possession of a stolen vehicle (which would be a different charge or even admissible if you can prove that you weren’t aware that the vehicle was stolen), but also driving saïd vehicle underage. at 14, you’re not too young or underdeveloped to know when something is illegal or not, & you’re also not incapable of making decisions based on whether they’re right or wrong. so, imo, yes she took the fall, but she also did the crime, & rightfully was held accountable for that

It is commendable that he was able to recover for his son, it is an incredibly difficult thing to do no matter what. Good for you that your parents have always been perfect and able to provide for you and do what’s best for you, but ‘every parent does that’ is sooooo wrong. You have a long way to go in maturity if you think this way. Parents can love their children and still have struggles and not be able to recover. Because most people won't associate with a murderer, won't give a job to a murderer, won't even want to be in the same room as a murderer. I'm glad that the public defender did this. It seemed like it helped challenge her views and take a deeper look at why she makes certain judgements/associations. I hope this allows her to continue that and grows to be better. Good luck to her.

I absolutely LOVE how dude handled lawyer lady. Her statements as an alleged defense attorney in this video is sad because she stereotyped everyone, she should know that things are *NOT* always what they seem...

I legit cant believe shes a public defender, not only a public defender, but a POC and a WOMAN. She has the audacity to judge someone based on their appearance, its crazy.

I definitely agree with you. This video is basically THAT. They want them to stereotype and whatnot but I think she definitely has some internalized racism that she needs to deal with. Hopefully she is a lot different in her real life cases.

As a law student getting ready to take my professional ethics course, I am so DISAPPOINTED in the female attorney. We are supposed to be held to a higher standard than "traditional media". Hope the Washington Bar Association sees this smh. Makes me wonder how her clients were treated.

The PD is awful. She proved so much from her assumptions. Imagine how many innocent ppl are behind bars…I’m also weak that she told the guy he looked like a woman beater bcuz he was African American to then saying he looked put together and well kept when he told her he wasn’t. A hot mess…
