things don’t have to be *technically* cheating to make your or your partner uncomfortable, jealous, or upset. not every boundary is about cheating, it’s about respect for your partner’s feelings.

I think cheating is the act of breaking a boundary. Fundamentally, that's what it is. It's doing something, anything, that you have both agreed should not be done.

Well I disagree. Getting married can feel like having a baby, after that your mind is 100% committed to your spouse, all you can think of is them, all the time. It's a very irrational way of thinking: it's not that you don't consider cheating, it's just that you cannot see other people in any form of sexualized or romantic way. After that "honeymoon phase" things get back to normal and you just know that you are not going to cheat because you can think more rationally, you love your partner and that's it. Anyways, not the smartest move from him but no fuck up at all for me.

Really fascinating to hear what different folks consider to be cheating. To me personally it means willfully overstepping agreed upon boundaries. So prerequisites are A) you know your partners boundaries and B) you willfully ignore them. Everybody makes mistakes and in close emotional relationships people are bound to get hurt. But hurting you partners feelings by accident and intentionally and egoistically satisfying one of your own needs knowing your SO is not cool with it is what distinguishes cheating for me personally.
@bethanyray6421
@bethanyray6421 10 ай бұрын
okay so like if my partner had a boundary that they didn’t want me to raise my voice during arguments and i willfully overstep that, is that cheating? i’m not trying to be rude btw just challenging your definition bc i think it may be a little broad.
@TheCoconutStar
@TheCoconutStar 10 ай бұрын
@@bethanyray6421I think the person above meant like boundaries such as talking to your ex, getting a little too close and touchy with your friends, role playing with other people in a inappropriate ways, flirting with other people and not putting peoples offers down if they ask your partner out. Some of these examples are boundaries from my own friends relationships that their partners crossed. So the person above meant like personal boundaries and such. Especially if you’re unhappy with your relationship and you go outside of your relationship to get needs met outside of your partner. It’s about letting your SO know about these things, and not crossing their boundaries, Then that is a discussion you need to have with your partner. But for your example, If your partner is raising your voice to you, it’s not cheating, but for sure it can be quite upsetting. For that aspect it’s better to talk your feelings out than raise your voice and have a screaming match, tbh that’s a different discussion to be had….

I think about cheating the same way i think about jumping out my car on the motorway. Its an intrusive thought. Thinking about it... makes me less likely to do it. Makes me realise... "fuck, that would be shitty". *considering* cheating... is different. But still not the same as cheating. With some i imagine there are circumstances where weakness prevents itself... and they beat it. Realise what you actually want and should do. I say that as someone who can't even imagine wanting to cheat.

I'm always baffled by people that don't want their partner talking to whatever gender they're attracted to. That's just a huge chunk of the population that they can't interact with without you throwing a fit, and that's insane. To me it shows an incredible lack of trust in your partner, and if that's the case, you probably shouldn't be in a relationship with them.

Out of the topic, I am a teen. And here, where I live, teens go for perfect body postures and the beauty outside. But, watching this made me feel how much matured you need to be to love someone. Physical features doesn't define it. They actually made me realise that how people can love each other because of who they are, their personality. It made me realise how it can overcome stereotypes and how a personality can attract one another. I always thought that being a couple, people need to be beautiful as in physically, but the people here made me feel good and realise that it's not the people, but the feeling of love and actions that make is beautiful. I am quite chubby, so i always feel like nobody would ever like me. It was nice to share something here.

I think attraction is important and you should want to be attracted to your partner, but you also need to realize that one day your and your partner's looks will change and there needs to be more substance to a relationship & commitment than just what is on the outside. That takes real emotional and mental clarity & maturity when deciding to enter into a relationship in the first place. It has to come from a place of love and loyalty, not just what you want.
@clearerthanwater

this is sweet, but these couples are all physically attracted to each other as well. when you're dating you obviously become physical and have sex, so it can't be 100% emotional attraction. you wouldn't date someone if you weren't sexually attracted to them, right? i doubt that any of these couples dating are only dating on an emotional level. they all have sex.

The guy speaking for his partner saying she would never leave him if he cheated is a walking red flag. I'd be genuinely shocked to learn that he hasn't been a compulsive cheater his entire life and still is. Anyone saying their partner would never leave them is an extremely controlling and domineering person who believes that they can speak for their partner and define their emotions or feelings. The fact that he's dating someone who looks 40 years younger than him, although not necessarily a red flag by itself, definitely raises an eyebrow considering what else he said.

What a wide range of answers. Some I might never understand but if everyone in a relationship is fine with their set boundaries it doesn‘t bother me. Only bothers me if one person clearly sets them but exclusively for their partner, not for themselves. Like the couple telling he‘s looking at the ground while walking to not look at women on the streets. Dunno if this was a joke or not but if it wasn‘t, I think it‘s unfair if these rules only apply to one person. I really like the cast of people in this Keep it 100. Such a diversity of people and couples with a lot of different stories! Always enjoy watching these

I don't know why this video made me think of my ex. I remember one time I asked her if she would dance with other guys at the club, and she, without hesitation, said yes! I told her that it bothered me and she could care less about how I felt. I should have broken off the relationship that day, but I stayed in for a couple more months. You live and learn!

Well, to some people I suppose it could be. It's all about boundaries set before the relationship. I have friends that are dating who do considered checking other people out disrespectful in a way, and they also have some kinky monogamy thing going on where they're like all about each other ( I seriously didn't wanna ask further when they explained it) and they are very happy together. On another hand I have friends who are unhappy in very open relationships and ones that are happy in those. It's a personal thing. What might be weird to me and you might make somebody happy and comfortable.

@@Nina-hz9vv I know everyone has their turn-ons and turn-offs, but I can't get passed the absurd notion that just glancing at someone is cheating. It's perfectly normal to find other people attractive. How one acts on it should be the issue.

5:51 But if you get to the point of cheating on your partner, isn't that already saying that you've decided the relationship isn't worth saving or giving a damn about if you could knowingly hurt your partner like that? IDK I feel like the cheating conversation has devolved into such a trivial thing when really it's a breach of trust, loyalty and honestly you're exposing your partner to things without their consent/knowledge: e.g. STIs, drama, emotional and mental mistreatment.
