Such animal males do not choose which female they want to copulate with and often the female chooses the male. The males impress the females by killing, marking territory and dancing etc. But human males do choose the females they want to be with. All the species who choose the females do so because their only goal is not to have multiple children from different females but rather stick with one and nurture his children with her.

I will say, my boyfriend cheated on me once, but it was less intense. Just over the phone flirting (I still consider this cheating), and I'm with him now, and it's been 6 months now. After 2 longer breaks and lots of communication and deep trust exercises, we've turned out fine. For me though, my boyfriend was snot-nosed and sobbing when he thought he would lose me, and I felt stupid for staying, but looking back, I don't regret it. Sometimes you can work things out if there's a connection there, and real true love.

I want people to understand that cheating in the past doesn't define you now, you can change if you choose too. I also want to crush the thought that you don't cheat on people you truly love (even though you didn't bring that up). How much you love someone doesn't determine whether you cheat on them or not, YOU decide that. The cheater puts themself in a vulnerable situation where cheating is easy to occur, then it happens. My psychology teacher explained behavior is a combination of disposition(who you are) and situation. If you put yourself in the situation to cheat, ex drinking and you know you can be flirtatious, you talk to other girls, then it is the perfect situation for cheating to happen. If you talk to your boss who you find attractive and go out for coffee, cheating is more likely. So if your disposition isn’t as faithful then don’t put yourself in tempting situations. It made me feel so aggravated when she said “I’m not good enough”. I was cheated on by someone I was with for 5 years and yes absolutely I felt what she felt.. I emphasize completely.
