The brother with the turtle neck is so dismissive of his brother's experience's. Something was clearly wrong with his childhood, like I mean, an electrical cord?!?!? I hope the other brother finds healing and I hope he knows its okay to set boundaries with family members. You don't owe them anything just because they were your family if they are/were bad to you,

That us so wise. I’m having my first child at 23 and I’m worried my mom will find someway to make it toxic between us. I still haven’t fully forgiven her for kicking out my older sister when I was 11,(she was 16). In the middle of a Wisconsin winter no less. And she made her sleep on the concrete and after that I didn’t get to see her until I was 17. Anyway, I’m abstaining from spanking my child bc I can recall all but one beating I got as a kid bc I literally passed out, and I couldn’t imagine how much that would hurt my child’s feelings. It doesn’t even teach the child how to learn it only teaches fear and distrust.

@@itzwilza7189 having good disciplinary action in place can be beneficial for a child. However, parents often forget they’re not raising lil army ppl, so they’re going to mess up from time to time, just as the parent would. It’s important to remove abusing your child from your mind. Shouting, cussing, and name calling are all too familiar and I intend not to be that way for my son. It’s inexcusable.

@@mohamedaminekhadhraoui6417 lol but the younger one is saying “everyone has flaws” cause from this vid, it seemed like he was treated better by their parents.. like for example the younger one got $75 a week in middle school and the older one (with the glasses) got beat wayy more, with like electrical cords lmaoo.. so it’s obvious that the younger one had a way more positive upbringing , the older one also constantly referred to having “ups and downs” with his parents whilst the younger one didn’t have a bad thing to say, cause he was treated good.... and the reason for the older one trash talking his dad is bc obviously he hasn’t healed from whatever happened, and the younger ones saying “everyone makes mistakes” is like a rich person saying ‘money isn’t everything’ to a poor person, like yeah right, easy for you to say.. but the older one still said “they’re still my parents” towards the retirement thing, so at the end of the day he isn’t holding it against them...

The "regardless of our relationship, their still our parents" is not justified. You don't have to love anyone, even if they're your parents. @@kaichase2725 Did you have a good relationship with your parents growing up? If not, do you feel like you can forgive what they did? I ask because, when people had a good relationship with parents and siblings growing up, I find they tend not to understand why people feel like they shouldn't have to care for or about their relatives. I do think it's entirely up to that guy what he would do in that situation like you said, but at the same time I don't think the OC was saying he should do different. I read it more as empathy and just a comment that he doesn't have to feel obligated to anything because of blood. Family is often the worst offender of abuse and manipulation, after all. He can do whatever he wants, as can you and everyone else when it comes to handling that, but I also feel like he shouldn't be back under the same roof as those people for the sake of his mental health.
@ingridlopez8971

This is very true. Family doesn't mean squat if they are abusive in anyway. You dont owe them anything, just because they birthed you doesnt give them any right to keep a relationship going after you're 18 unless you want it.

I hope that one brother is getting support and tries to distance himself from his negative family. Abuse is abuse no matter what others think and he's so freaking worthy of working thru that anger, pain and sadness. Also I cried when he talked about his childhood and how the other brother tried to reason that he was bad, it doesnt matter. Parents need to discipline not ABUSE. And the one pair of brother and sister were so funny and relatable about petty fighting. The other pair of siblings had me crying when she talked about how she looked up to him and how his actions shaped her, I feel like thats how my brothers feel but they would never say it to me.

Girl with tattoos just made a video in which she states her brother recently beat her up cos he's a drug addict, police involved. She had to leave home n is now homeless. Where some people see "a devastated man" I just see a really nervous guy whose going to explode soon (notice his leg fucking moving non stop) n a man that thinks he's shit cos he prob is, the old drug addict madness.

I fully understand the bald guy with glasses when he said no to the hanging out. Like who would hang out with sibling that doesn't give a shit about that his brother was clearly abused...?!

Man as somebody who has siblings that don't acknowledge how different our childhoods were, I really feel the brother with the glasses pain. It sucks when someone doesn't acknowledge how bad it really was because they don't want to believe their parents would do that shit to them 😔

homeslice was devastated by his sister, at the time he most likely didn't know his actions but is wise enough to look back and see how hurtful that was and it tore him up.

I relate so much to the two brothers. Whenever my brother and I try to speak up about how we were mistreated by our parents, our other two siblings (who were rebellious but more outspoken and thus ultimately given more love and attention) always try to make us “see the silver lining,” and it’s so annoying because yeah, I get that ideal, but why can’t they just listen for once and try not to fix what we’re saying? They always try to say that our parents can’t love us in the way we want them to and that we all had disagreements with our parents but they love us. Yes, I get all that. We were all punished in similar ways, but the REASONS for those punishments were different. For them, it was because of outright rebellion like staying out too late, drinking too much, or disobeying over significant others. For us, it was just because we didn’t like coming out of our rooms...
