My beautiful Bruno was the same, a sweet face and disposition, with ginormous teeth 😁 Bruno never bit anyone and I was able to take anything out of his mouth and he never got upset. I MISS HIM soooo MUCH.

Good thing you can brush his teeth. Our current beagle will not allow it at all (5 year old rescue we've had for a year now). She is a heavy chewer so she gets a lot from her Nylabone and toys to help keep things cleaner. Our last beagle barely tolerated brushing, but she had periodontal disease and kept having to have teeth pulled no matter what we did. Have to start them early on tooth brushing.

OMGoodness! Oliver is wonderful. So handsome and intelligent. My late Puggle, King Louis XIV, (1/2 Beagle and 1/2 pug) had so many similar traits. The tilting of his head, plump upper lips, squeaks and sounds, and tolerating your fingers in his mouth are exactly the same. And of course their loud barks and especially their focus on food and treats. I really enjoy watching Oliver’s posts. Thank you both.

I remember once seeing a post on tumblr of "alien anthropologist tries to imagine an animals appearance based on their skeletons" And it was full of lots of fierce and dangerous looking creatures and a picture of what the animal really looks like. I think about that post anytime I'm reminded that our cute, furry buddies have some pretty mean sets of teeth that could really hurt if they were so inclined to harm. Which makes sense seeing how Beagles were originally made to be hunting dogs.
