A wonderful video of a beautiful hamlet and resulting in a gorgeous painting. Love the contrasts of the shadows and sunlit areas. Sorry I’ve only just put a comment on about this video. Hi Claire, and Mr B. 🖐️😎 What a lovely sunny day for painting a really interesting subject. I could see that you were battling with the tonal values, but because you are truly professional, you were well able to overcome the changes in light and your perseverance with the scene made for a really wonderful painterly finish. You both held your nerve when it came to the constant flow of the traffic and this could not have been easy as some of the vehicles came really close to you both 🙉. Súper fun watching this! May I make a rec? Maybe film a little bit more directly on the canvas so we can see the surface better? That would make the camera about over Clare’s left shoulder sometimes. The rest is great bec it helps to see the palette and scene. Fun. Thanks!

When you put the yellow in the sky before adding the blue, did you put that yellow in with turps? In other words, is it thinly laid down? Thanks
