The first time I noticed Keanu Reeves was in the film "Point Break." He played the role of FBI agent, Johnny Utah, very well. Especially when getting in deep with Patrick Swayze's charismatic character. And then he woke up and asked himself, "What am I doing?" as he was undercover and infiltrating the criminal group led by Swayze's character. He played it so well because after he woke up to how emotionally involved and invested he had become with the criminal group and knew he needed to pull back, he still had a respect and depth of emotion for Swayze's character, charisma and follow-your-dreams at-any-cost attitude. I have followed him since then and really like the variety of characters he chooses to play like in the film, "A Walk in the Clouds." He's a very versatile actor snd seems like an authentic person, but with actors one never knows, does one?
