youre so right. everything in the scene has gotten so watered down recently. i dont dislike some new trends and music, but idk i just wish the scene could evolve without cutting out everything that made it so good to begin with.

KEEP SLAYING IN THOSE CUTE PJ'S! As for the music topic, I personally have been changing my music preference overtime but have been returning to nostalgia lately. we definitely lived in a time where music had a lot of feel, joy, and catchiness, and the instrumental style was a big role in that... Nowadays, american music has gotten too pop/rap cultured and/or technical. because of that, my music taste has shifted overtime and i decided to listen to japanese pop and japanese rock/metal because i never heard their music at all when i was growing up in my high school life. but just listening to their music it made me think how unique and random they are compared to what we are used to hearing. japanese music that i listen to in a nutshell is like KAWAII/CUTE instrumentals and singing, but the lyrics are either soooo random or soooo depressing XD. Now for new japanese music i would recommend an electro goth metal band called JILUKA. Their song VENOM is sooo good and it has dubstep mixed with metal, and then the music gets sooooo random at times plus insane vocal screaming. this is their song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqSofoWXoaiDfLM if you would like any other music recommendations from other japanese artists i listen to or anything else besides that, hmu. :)

Oh my gosh it's crazy you said what you did about Japanese rock and metal because I've been watching a LOT of music videos from Japanese rock bands and I'm so in love with it. Gosh I can't remember the names but I may have even seen what you're talking about. Thank you so much for these suggestions, I appreciate it so much 🖤

Hi. You should check out the Alternative music of the mid-to-late 90s. I highly recommend bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, and Tori Amos. It's a very broad spectrum, but the 90s have some pretty amazing alternative artists. I was in your age group in the heights of Emo/Indie era. Been to maybe a hundred shows with band battles. I was a total Alt Goth Rocker so, I was open to all genres. But then Indie Rock became so mainstream, that I felt like there were way to many copycat pop tart bands that tainted the whole reason for Alternative music. It's radio that k!lled Rock music really. And channels like MTV and VH1 just became complete sellouts, in my opinion. I like Flyleaf, Paramore, and MCR and a lot of other Emo, Hard Rock and Numetal bands. Linkin Park really brought the '00s a new lane. I really appreciate them even more now. I wish Rap was still called Rap and NOT Hip-hop. Can't stand it. Then again, if I listen to Rap, it has to be authentic. Very rare. Anyway, I love talking about Rock and Alternative music and this was a recommendation on my YT feed. Nice change as I'm cruising through, since I've been watching wat too much True Crime and Criminal Psych stuff. You should checkout new bands like Letdown. They're really good. Also, I'm really into Goth EBM and Darkwave. (Was part of my personal scene when I was in my late 20s) I'm an old Millennial but Alternative Rock will always be just that. 🖤🎸🎶✌🏻
