Hamburg PA is in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, approximately 115 miles west of New York City. It is in Berks County PA approximately 18 miles north of Reading. It is one of those pleasant small towns where not all that much has changed over the years. As employers leave other employers come in to take their place. This is a long settled area, many of the folks who grew up stayed and were contented to do so.

Reading is in berks county not sure if you are saying 18 miles between reading and berks or reading and Hamburg

@@emtmama02 I meant to say that Hamburg is located in Berks County and that Hamburg is approximately 18 miles north of Reading. Reading is of course the county seat of Berks County. PA Route 61, a four lane highway with intersections and cross streets connects Hamburg and Reading.

I lived in Hamburg 50 years ago. It hasn't changed much. Still looks like a great town to grow up in.

I lived in Edenburg which is just east of Hamburg, it’s sorta a quiet town, I no longer live in a Edenburg but, my parents still do. As far as I know hasn’t really changed, sure the old stores have left and new ones have shown up(Russo’s pizza, 1787 bar, coffee show) just to name a few.

Its surprisingly one of the most populated and popular towns in berks county I used to live in shoemakersville which is right next to Hamburg and it was awesome they have great icecream places food places shops barbershop theu have everything hamburg +Shoemakersville residents need
