My mini schnauzer tells my husband off every day when he comes home from work. She gives him grief and he apologizes and explains that he has to go to work to buy kibble and treats. Once he picks her up and gives her a snuggle, all is forgiven.

My all time favorite dog! I owned three during my life. However, the breed is very difficult to find now. Online, sight unseen, the asking price was $3,500. Then plane was additional cost. I ended up adopting a toy poodle from Rescue and saved his life. I’ve had the last dog of my life 5 years now. He was terribly abused and about 18 months old when I adopted him. I love him dearly. Still, a Miniature Schnauzer is my favorite canine breed. The breeders are mixing different breeds together now however. And instead of weighing 14 to 16 pounds, the Mini Schnauzer weighs 19 to 26 pounds when grown. A complete violation to this wonderful breed!

Reminds me of Millie when she was a puppy. Unfortunately we had to put her to sleep a couple of years ago. Now we have a rescue beagle that picked my son. When we would walk past her crate she would cry for him. Found out that she came from Missouri and was going to be put down by being shot with a gun. So glad we were able to rescue her!

As a three year old schnauzer to a little pup, just remember your smarter than humans but try not to show it off and keep playing it dumb because those humans find it cute and adorable and you'll get more belly rubs and treats that way. They'd be horrified if they knew we were actually running things around here and that we know how to pick up our own poop...we just don't want to. Sounds crazy now, but you'll understand when you figure out their weak points. Smell ya later!

It just depends on what human food. Dogs actually thrive on a dog-healthy "real" food diet. Some high end kibble brands are okay, but most are not truly ideal compared to what they're natural diets would be in the wild. But I do agree, look up anything before feeding it to them bc like you said, many human foods can be harmful. It's just about learning which ones those are.

My baby, Maximus Lloyd, was the best Mini Schnauzer ever!! ❤ He crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2020 at age 12 and I think of him everyday. He absolutely would let me know when he was not pleased. Oh, the looks he would give me!! He especially didn't like when he went to the groomer and they would put a colorful kerchief around his neck...I got the look that said, "Mama, get this off me NOW!" I would take it off and he'd be fine!! Max was my protector and my sweetest baby. 😍❤️😍
