If you're applying to a specific project rather than just a course, is it okay to focus almost exclusively on why you like that particular project rather than the university itself? I'm not really sure what to say about the university as it's the project details that lured me in.

Yes, make most of it about the project. It only has to be a few lines about the university not super extensive. Best wishes on your application!

Hey Hira! Thanks for the insightful series on personal statement. I'm currently in the progress of applying for Ph.D. applications. I could not understand how this was different from an academic statement of purpose as this statement contained too many technical details, which in my opinion, should be part of the SOP (correct me if I'm wrong). Am I still confused between these two? Kindly help. Also, by any chance, can you please have a look at my SOP once. That would allow me to have an expert opinion.
