I think most people forget that the golden coconut doesn’t drop when you loot and die in there. You can’t drop it, and if you really want doubloons just run the PVE elite zone simple as that.

It feels like they are taking this idea from the Division. Like everything but it being an enclosed arena with marked exit points and extraction zones for loot to actually promote a reason to pvp.

My main thing is just the frequency of people who gank people with a group of friends. I've lost track of how many times I've been mining star metal and been ganked by petrifying scream to root and 1-2 more friends to gank and murder you with no chance of surviving. It's supposed to be a FFA zone. Meaning 1v1. Not 1v3. AGS addressed this and blandly stated they would keep updating the place as time goes on. Yeah. 1 month later and half the audience has already left. They needed to fix this grouping issue before they released it.

One could argue that free for all also means there is few to none in terms of rules. It’s scummy, I won’t object to that but they’ve not explicitly said you can’t. The whole zone as a whole is just mid.

Yeah I don't know how you keep people from grouping. I think it is just accepted that people will group. The only downside is the fact that you could kill a friend accidentally with your attacks. Regardless, the zone needs help. And it needed it 3 weeks ago

I really like the idea of the Cursed Mists (reminds me a lot of the wilderness in Runescape), but agree that there needs to be bigger rewards for going there. I hope they can figure something out, because otherwise I'm really enjoying this game

ive been experiencing a bug thats not tied to cutlass keys but yesterday i lost 8 pieces of gear just buy swapping gear pieces for some reason when i swap a piece of gear instead of removing the gear and then equipping the new piece it auto deletes the previous piece of gear

I would check your gear sets. If you equip a new piece but that old piece is in your gear set it goes back to the set, not into your inventory

The ONLY point of going to the ffa zone is once a week for your coconut, unless you want to risk it for the multitude of logging/mining/harvesting xp/mats... The gear you get from doubloons isnt great for pvp tbh, and is actually trash for pve... Also yes i agree, the doubloons from cursed chests should be at MINIMUM double what it is currently

I love the island it's really fun. There just isn't enough incentive to go there for most people. There isn't a reasonable route to 725GS for PVPers. I think the problems are as simple as that

Yep. Absolutely agree. You can get 725 weapons at the well but the only way to get max gear is hope for a good drop from your chest. But you can do it PvE with chest runs.

I'm glad there's an open air warzone for PVPers, but I don't PVP, I want more PVE content. I want big random boss battles in the middle of nowhere, like the Halloween event, happening all the time. I want more dungeons. I want new main story quest content and new areas to explore. I want trade skills to matter.

You can get the coconut at the key chest just outside the pvp area. Only time I spent inside the pvp zone was the couple days it took me to complete the Power Stone artifact.

I don’t walk away from a game just because of a few bugs or problems that need to be fixed. I love video games and so I choose to play them and stay optimistic that the devs will eventually get around to fixing the issues.

As a pve player make it that it’s worth going in and I don’t lose everything if I die then I would spend 80% of my time there. Otherwise it’s only worth going in for my golden coconut at quiet hours so I can just get in and out.

Personally like the idea that you just get 300 coins for a kill (there’s the reward). Full loot pvp games never work anymore, it’s been done to death and they always die. It’s too niche for the modern market.

The issue with Cutless Keys (at least in my server) is it is not truly "FFA" Plenty of friends go in there together to gank people. Ive lost count how many 1v2 and 1v3's ive had in the FFA zone. No point in sticking around after i get my coconut and 100 cursed dubloons

The amount of current game breaking exploits that have not been fixed is ridiculous. The PvP track exploit that was not fixed for 3 weeks and gave so many people an unfair advantage is what did it for me. Oh and the people that utilized this exploit didn't get reset... Nice work AGS

I think the FFA area should be in the middle of the map so you can have multiple points of entry...and more rewards...maybe resources are super quick to respawn,, make doubloons more valuable that can buy artifacts, or high on demands materials like gold scarabs, chromatic seals etc etc..once i got survival coat with 6k i was done..i didnt have any other reason

I'm a pvp player and this zone was finally supposed to be my long awaited update. It's so awful and doesn't work at all. Wish they just made a new opr map or a new mode that you can queue or something.

I argued for a runescape style wilderness for 3 years. I said rewards! Dank rewards dropped on death. ... they actually did it! They added the wildy! But there is no 725 there. No gold. No nothing. How they forget to add loot xD. Rev cave multi was peak mmo pvp zone. Nothing has come close. The pipeline of pver to pvper was insane. Like 1000s of pve player becoming pvp players a week.

I believe making it FFA was a mistake. You can't really expect friends and people from the same company to go in there and fight each other. The team ups I can deal with, that's whatever. The real failure is in the gearing. The RNG nature to PvP gearing in the zone is just too much. There simply has to be a PvP end-game equivalent for crafting 3 Perk BIS gear as PvE end-game has with the Gorgonite Inductor. A once a week slot machine for rolling perks is absolute garbage.

I am fine with it being FFA, especially with the whole lore aspect of the curse making you fight even your friends. But regardless of that, it's just not rewarding. You go in for doubloons. You turn around and spend these doubloons on boxes that may give you gear. That's the loop. Gear needs to drop in the zone and we need to be able to buy gear from a vendor

If they would get rid of the chest runs in cutlass I’d quit the game. I think they should have an ESO style PvP map where all servers would be able to play on. That way you can play with other people from different servers and have it that you don’t have a company just a faction.

Well spending in game currency on end game gear it would make it a pay to win game because people go to websites now to spend real money to get in game currency not saying you said this just want people to be aware we dont want this type of change i mentioned

Interesting. People pay money through a website and then people in-game will do a player-to-player trade for that currency? I guess it's a way to make money but someone has to grind for that currency so I'm ok with that. If some guy works 60 hours a week and doesn't have a ton of time to play and wants to spend some of his hard earned money for a game's currency, I'm good with it.

@BraidedZero as long as that in game currency doesn't get you end game gear I'm OK with it tooo p2w would be horrible ...I think bis gear should only be given from super rare drops in the game from grinding content like....pvp gear from pvp tracker the higher up your lvl in the tracker the more bis or chance of bis gear and for pve m3 should be the same and open world bosses should have a low but chance to get bis gear too and elite chest very low chance but could drop bis gear....and there you have a it a reason to grind every aspect of the game instead of having one way to get gear and kill the rest of the game.

I think that is their biggest problem at this point. Not enough ways to reach max gear score. Of course there is not much of a difference between 700 and 725 gear. I would take a BIS 700 gs item over a 725 piece of gear with only two good perks. But, they definitely need more ways to get that gear.

Just make the pvp zone faction friendly, if im a marauder, as in you can only attack and be attacked by the other two factions or the factionless, but not your own faction.

I actually think the zone is really good gold/hour, but not farming doubloons or killing players. It's most profitable looting the treasure map chests and farming. Roughly 12k in an hour on average. But I agree this area is a big miss....but I think it might just be horribly toxic if it was really good to go there.

As someone who got over battle royal during the minecraft hunger games maps, i say nayy. Yuk game made. We dont have the playerbase to split either. Less timegates. Less gamba. Allow catching up. Allow no rng methods for rng grinds, i would pay 20k dabloons for ankh. Pve item in pvp and pvp item in pve is good imo, core part of mmos forcing player niches to overlap. I love your ideas in general for the well rewards. But some of the ideas for the zone scare me, if you make anything too op my company, well all proper companies will lock it down and abuse it any way we can.

doubloons should be split. pvp doubloons and pve doubloons. coconuts shud be for pvp only items dont give pve players incentive to do something they hate. chest runs are fine but the currency is an issue. as for the gamba on well, i guess they see gamba means u wont get bis ina week.. back to the old says. wouldnt mind a 50k doubloon to guarantee 3 perks then ppl will farm the zone more. incentives toc are for pvp are poor. just make another opr map theyll do anything but that...

I like farming in the pvp zone is x2 each node and if you die you keep half , so it’s as if you were farming out of the pvp zone anyways , very little risk/reward tbh

I don't like that. I honestly don't like the fact that you drop half of your stuff. They're trying to lessen the sting but completely looking over the fact that people do PvP for the competition. Increase rewards and make us drop everything
