It's very fast to level up a character to 50 and a guild can outfit you with good gear pretty fast because most players are at endgame. I'm close to 800 hrs into the game and started playing 1.5 month after everyone started. I play the game competitively on an xbox controller. On keyboard the game has the usual 9 button skills and a hot bar for items. Many other MMOs uses more than that.

My guy tried T&L cuz NEW WORLD IS DEAD then got overwhelmed and started a review video under 48 hrs in. Your REVIEW is Pre- mature. put in the time, know the mechanics and get better. This is not new world. Good laugh tho

Didn't watch the vid but i'd say it's absolutely too late to start now for one very glaring reason... The last update broke character creation. Many of the sliders do not work correctly now. The game and the devs that work on it, are a big joke. Could not pay me money to play another game by NCSoft. Had a lot of potential but in the end, the horrific targeting, the horrible fashion, and the infestation of bugs that only grow with each update make this a 1 out of 5 game.

Haha, looks like you were in Vienta during a tax delivery event. The hardcore players don't show any mercy! The end game in T&L is pvp all the way. The funnest things to do like big pvp events are really only available to those in a guild, and you had better get into an active, serious guild if you expect to excel in those events. It's a lot of fun if you're in a good team. The pvp game is all about gear, skill, and tactics. You have to spend time to get there, no matter what. I am mostly free to play, but did eventually buy some lucent just to get a decent looking skin because the look of the armors can be a letdown. Over 1000 hours in (I have lots of free time) and I am finally becoming truly competetive while being in a top guild. Just enjoy the ride.

I estimate as a new player it'll cost you $200-300 to max out. Good news is you simply can't pay to win that much. Spending $ to max out will not get you ready for end game pvp. Everyone swipe or no swipe must grind the game to improve.

I started playing the game 2 weeks ago , I would say you definitely have to watch some guide especially about upgrading your gear and the trait system , The PVP events don't last long 1 hour max , You can also skip them and go to a different area or save your dungeon tokens for that time , Also join a guild but when they do the guild bosses see how they distribute the loot and see if the way they do it is for you , If it isn't then join a different guild.

Keep track on the public events in your calendar or the top right menu next to the map. Domination and Guild events are pvp. Avoid these if you don’t want forced pvp. After the event is over the zone is back to peace state.

higher echelon is closer to 4.3cp, takes longer than 40 for sure, but is very doable without paying real cash. i would recommend spending 20 at first for battle passes and then make enough lucent to keep buying them,

I want them to expand on the story along with adding more areas to the game, getting to 50 felt like nothing and we couldn't even do quests together with people and there was no quest that allowed us to team up with someone to play together against a boss or anything else, they should add mounts, allow us to trade or list any item we already have to the auction house instead of trying to create artificial scarcity, tons of weapons, skins armor etc,changing the color to regular dropped gear, there is tons of ways they can make their money without trying to add mystique to certain archboss weapons, they don't even make it seem obstainable unless you're in a guild or have the money to buy it outright which isn't right, as long as people put a good amount of time we should be able to obtain such items, the game has tons of potential, id personally want to see them make every build viable for pvp whether it be small scale or big, it'd be cool to see them add more skills/skill trees that are themed around certain elements not everyone's into fire, I've heard people mentioning a mode like castlewars similar to runescape, never played it but I'd be for it, all in all it comes down to expanding on every part of the game when it comes to content it's what people want out of an mmorpg

The shop that you’re referring to is the wrong shop bro , you’re looking at the cash shop (lucent shop) and basically skins , the auction house is the pay to win shop people are referencing. To try to sum it all up , auction house is where you sell things(trait extracts, traceable gear and food, lithograph books etc.) in exchange you receive lucent (the premium currecy) .. so theoretically players with enough money can use their card to get a couple hundred dollars of lucent , then go to auction house and purchase an arch boss weapon , but the adverse side to this is you can drop an arch boss weapon and sell that , never having to worry about lucent in this game again lol all the skins you like 😭😭

Yeah someone wants me to play this and honestly I'm having an awful time. the biggest issue is that all the glamour is cash shop and you can't glamour your actual outfit so if you're free you look like shit. Forced PVP is a big yikes too I'm not a PVP player. There's so many systems too and it's all overwhelming and the tutorial isn't great. The fact that the meta healer is Bow/Wand is beyond stupid. I don't want to use a bow to heal. Could always be worse though, could be Aion. At least NC hasnt went that route yet.

What can do if I quit NW one year ago in the middle of a race quest, had to cancel it cause it bugged and now the NPC that gave me the quest doesn't have any for me?

So sad how bad mmorpgs have gotten today, that an extremely simple 90s-esque mmorpg is considered playable, because we still have no modern mmorpgs with the real 'mmo' feel. Needing to group up, a requirement for guilds other than to queue up for stuff together. Actual difficult group content that requires players communicating in game. Sorry but I can't get past how bad the graphics/animations/style of the game is, especially for the price. But I do appreciate the sentiment.

There are so many things wrong with this build. This build does not crush the competition. You have no damage output. This is a meme build to just waste peoples time in OPR. There are far better builds out there than this one. You are using your gems wrong. Use two onyxs instead of those moonstone and emeralds and you get the same 10 slash/thrust and 10 strike. You should really put the 50 in focus to get your added 10 percent heals. Then get Recuperation which gives you another 10 percent on all healing and regen. I'm pretty sure Defenders resolves restoration is part of that as well. Put a lightning gem in your sword if you're going to be running that Warhammer. 50 percent of weapon damage will be lighting plus the 20 percent from the Warhammer. You are all over the place man. Get rid of the Desperate Empower perk on your long sword. You don't even have Opportunity in the Whirlwind tree so it's so whirlwind useless. You're better off using leaping strike and Empowering Leaping Strike perk. Get rid of all your luck on the amulet and get health on it. Get rid of your keen awareness on your ring and get leaching on it, you aren't going to be doing enough damage with this build for it to matter. Get rid of Duplicating toast on your erring and put regen on it. Look into Endless Thirst for an erring to use.

I know that the size of the world is not excepcional. Graphics are not exceptional at all (not that it bothers me too much). Lore i hope its good. Combat is a simple and good old tab target. So, whats new in the game???

This game is never making it to release. It's been in dev for ten years. They ran out of money and had to do EA to buy more time. What difference does anyone think two years is going to make if ten years got us this little content? When any class uses a spell the weapon disappears from your hand. TEN YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT. All of the buildings are copy pasted. TEN YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT. The main city in Thronefast doesn't even exist. You can run to the entrance but there's an invisible wall keeping you from going any further. If you turn the camera you can see missing textures and world mesh. TEN YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT. The game is DOA. It's a countdown to being cancelled before full release.

Crazy that they won't say if they're going subscription based or not. Seems similar to what Mortal Online 2 did, except they're at least not saying they won't.

Great Review, thank you for the honest take! As for me, the game has been under development for 9+ years, they're still planning 2 more years lol. At the rate the world is going, the end of the world will come before Pantheon is released in 1.0. Being a huge EverQuest fan I considered buying into the early access but then I had a thought. I personally play MMOs to get new gear that makes your character look more powerful. I can guarantee that every piece of armor is going to look like the same boring piece of leather regardless of the stats. Hard pass for me. They would need an enormous team of artists to pull this off and they have a handful of people, never gonna be a WoW or EverQuest substitute
