For all wondering. This bands name was Thunder. The album name was Cutthroat. I worked for them as their guitar tech when this was recorded. I am also on the recording doing backing vocals in metal rages on. We recorded this at Panda Studios in Clearwater Florida and we recorded it in 89 or 90. That time frame is fuzzy. Typical band politics broke this one up. Ill leave it at that. I have a lot of great memories from working gigs for them.

I knew Bruce batten since I was a kid, and played with them many times, he passed away a few months ago, I really miss him, he was a awesome person and one of the best metal guitarists I have ever known, R.I.P bro. We will shred together again some day

Bruce batten was a guitar shredding m.f,r plain and simple. Todd thinking that he was the singing god of all times was the problem when I was playing with them and he wanted final say in everything, like you said politics in the band, lol. If you know them you know me neil

Formed as Cutthroat, the band recorded a 9-song album in 1987 with former vocalist Todd Plant before changing their name to Thunder. It remained unreleased until guitarist Bruce Batten's new (at the time) band, Atomik Cocktail released it independently on cassette as "Space-Metal Vampires from Hell" in '91. It was reissued on CD-R (2005) and CD (2007) by Retrospect Records under the title "Metal Rages On), and pressed on vinyl by Hades Paradise Records in 2005 as Cutthroat "Self-Titled." - Encyclopaedia Metallum

What the hell??? I consider myself I huge fan of 80s metal but I feel a bit stupid that I discovered this song in 2019!!! made my day and killed my workout because of it!!

Recorded in 1987, released in 2015 or so. The sound is so fucking powerful...they must have slipped through the cracks of the big corporate lifesucking big labels of the day. Awesome sound

Was recorded under the name Cutthroat, but first released under the name Atomic Cocktail. Re-released under the Cutthroat moniker in 2005. (Atomik Cocktail - Metal Rages On 1991)

We were actually named Thunder in the late 80's when we recorded it. Never got a deal and broke up. The Atomik Cocktail and Cuttthroat names were the idea of guitarist Bruce Batten (RIP).

Being a record collector for over 40 yrs I don't know how I never come across this album from all of my sources, would love to have a copy of this classic 80's rock metal, its a total shame it wasn't released in 1987

Sadly, we couldn't get a deal and broke up in '90. Thunder (USA) recorded some of it in "87 with a different singer, then I joined in '88 and re-recorded those songs and we wrote and recorded more. The guitarist, Bruce Batten (RIP), got a deal in the '90's and called it Atomik Cocktail, then got another deal under the name Cutthroat and the label printed vinyl LP's.
