Hey friend, I’m a total beginner when it comes to milling logs into lumber, don’t even have a machine yet… but this is the one I’m looking at… I’m assuming milling is always done on dried logs, not fresh, right? I need to thin some oak and a couple big sugar pines on my new property, so why not mill them into lumber for cabinets and 2x4s for my remodel… if I cut trees down, am I waiting 1 year or 5 years or how long before I can mill them, trying to put together a timeline for myself… thanks for the video, it seems like a good machine, you operate better than others I’ve seen…

I also thought to use dry logs but from what I read cut them fresh is best but most videos I see the logs are dry so idk

An over the tire deck is preferred. Get the leveling feet fit the sawmill and lag screw it down. And you will want to set the mill as close to the passenger side of the trailer so you have room to work.
