The Smurrf Mustang has almost everything it needs to performance upgrades with it's VMP Gen 3 supercharged stock motor and transmission, but it has been YEARS since I've done an in depth video on something cosmetic on this car! It's time to add some subtle changes to the Smurrf Mustang GT with some real good ol' carbon fiber goodies. This was a really satisfying and fun install, and was a nice change of pace. Thats what I thought too. There is moist in the air even in the best kept garage so it WILL rust slowly but surely under the decklid where the metal is exposed. Why not take a little more time and apply protective paint and clear coat to avoid rust 100%?

You should put some paint or primer around the hole you cut out. You don't want the raw metal starting to rust on you.

For anyone about to cut their car up, tape the stuff around the cut first so nothing is damaged. I'm a knife maker and whenever I do ANY grinding or filing on a polished piece, I tape everything. It protects everything else against the particles and Sparks hitting it. Be perfectionists, make whatever you do look awesome.

1 mil subs and he still makes mostly boring vids, some of the recent cars are cool but come on... you get one carbon fiber piece and put it on, WTF theres the lower valence that is fucking plastic and he could have easily added another difuser under that did the whole rear end in carbon, make it look dope, match the carbon, and have a good youtube video... He's just not going above and beyond with these vids, almost like he's stuck in the past with how youtube was.. install a little mod here, do a car review there.. no... do something creative and original

@@shaunp4trick honestly bro I'm not trying to be a hater but I'd hate to say it I kind of agree with you I've been watching his channel for years now and I'm a big fan of zosh as well with the Integra from Florida and Honda Street garage and quite a few others I started watching him for the car reviews but I agree I got into KZbin when it very first started when nobody really paid attention to it and I have watched it change over the years and if you're going to stay relevant you definitely got to up the ante with content otherwise there's so many people doing the exact same thing but obviously he's got tons of subscriber so he did something right for years and unless you lost all those he's not going to care about anybody's opinion like yours or mine but I do agree with you he could have did something to make this video a little more exciting or at least do some different stuff in his more recent videos he needs to bring the Nissan and the Integra back out the Integra only Burns oil and he won't drive it I think he should rebuild that since it was supposed to be a project we can all do it home I know that The 2jz in the Nissan is more expensive to fix but that was always one of my favorites of his not a big mustang fan but I respect any car people put time and money into I just think you're right he needs to be a little more creative in these recent days you go for an adventure on a road trip or something

You should really take that back off and touch up that bare metal where you cut with some primer or even touch up paint. Any water or moisture gets that and it will rust fast. Just a FYI looks good tho man

Once you have the decklid and emblem if done correctly it will be a 100% seal. BUT it doesn't hurt to do that.

@@ThatDudeinBlue you do know that there does not have be water in order to form rust. The moisture in the air is enough to act as an electrolyte. Please just prime it of you can!

@@ThatDudeinBlue I've been doing spoilers (etc.) for years and always spray the holes with anti-corrosion spray or paint. If those aren't handy, I use like a synthetic lube with ptfe or lube in a tube as I like to call it. lol. Eventually it will rust from moisture. Not trying to make you nervous, but it will even if it's sealed around with adhesive.

David, you should do a GT500 brake caliper conversion on Smurff next with all the go you need to be able to stop. Maybe add in here that you should also use touchup paint in the area after you sanded it to prevent rust.

I honestly wonder what would happen if you were to upload twice a week vs 3 times a week. I have noticed some quality control issues with your content lately and I am like... That is not the David I know. There probably isn't enough time in the day to keep it up, I know first hand the time it takes to edit stuff. On the mod, I am on the fence. The original piece was concave and flowed with the body line. The new one does not do that and I am not sure I like that. But, it's not me that has to like it. It's you, and one thing I do agree on, carbon anything is usually a pretty cool thing! Now you need a carbon wing! GT500 quad exhaust, carbon hood...
