That is a lot of work and a lot of sawdust for one cutting board. But it is one beautiful board. The problem with this board is that once someone sees it they will want one too. I don't know about you but I would not want to go to the expense and effort again. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

Looks good, but I still see a lot of uniformity between rows. Are you working on this between two different shops? I do like the fact that you keep the chaotic to rectangles and squares rather than integrating triangles. I see very high quality commercial planers and table saws vs. more residential/consumer ones like the DeWalt 735.

@Villywoodworking2 жыл бұрын
Your sand to how many grit ? I keep that board for me and every time I cook with after a good water wash I apply some mineral oil with conditioner in the smooth finish get back Thanks for watching
@thestorey2 жыл бұрын
Needs a final sand with what ever grit you finished with before oiling. Very light barely past the weight of your hand or your oribital.
@ngoti8tor Жыл бұрын
There is the final step before oiling your board, which is to spray the board with water, let dry, then give the board a final sanding. The water raises the grain, allowing you to sand it smooth.
