Cutting Brass on Shapeoko CNC Machine - With Speeds and Feeds

In today's video we will be cutting brass shims for a honing guide. The brass is C360 and measures .125" thick, 1" wide, and 1.5" long.
The first op is to carve the design using the 30 degree V-bit. The second and third op required a bit change to the .125 3FL Aluminum series end mill. This job first created a .125" pocket at the top of the shim for mounting purposes and the second job was a profile task that cut the shim out.

Very nice. I really appreciate you supplying the bit, and feed & speed specs. I've got a Shapeoko, and after one bad experience cutting aluminum, decided to stick to wood. But I may try brass now, after seeing your video. Thanks!

What is your plunge rate please? and is it a ramp plunge with the v bit?
