I was probably the only one who bought "The Scattering" when it came out in my hometown. Took them forever due to the vagaries of their music label. But I happened to work in a local department store (long gone) in the days before Internet. I checked the shelves religiously and saw the Cutting Crew logo on that fine April day. This cassette would last me through my Army days, to be replaced by a CD that got stolen. My wife discovered CC on her '80s collection and she finally replaced my CD last Christmas!

Saw them on the Glasgow round of this tour in Fury Murray’s and was blown away. Much underrated and even my friend who had been bullied into going had to admit that they were “ok”
