Evan, your content was good before, but since you decided to take the leap and be a full time farmer that KZbin’s, it seems like your content and presentation have improved. I enjoyed watching your channel before, and I enjoy it even more now! You seem to have a better handle on projects, follow through and consistency in how you handle your property - all that translates into great videos. Glad to see you prospering!!

I always look forward to the camera angle where we are falling, where we get that dizzy swerling feeling right before we are staring at an ant on a blade of grass....😅😅😅 its like falling but without the pain of hitting the ground.😅😊

Putting the branches into the woods is a much more efficient way of disposing of them, but I also like that they are going to make a good place for wildlife. My family lived 45 minutes from town and they always planned what was needed before heading out. It saves time and gas. I'm enjoying watching you make your property into what you want it to be. So grateful for the rain this year.

While it’s a tedious process, that Honey Locust makes awesome firewood. I had some given to me when I lived in Central Illinois years ago. I was amazed how much heat it produced and how well it banked overnight. The tricky part is cleaning off all those nasty thorn clusters and not ruining your tires in the process. The fellow who gave it to me had foam filled his tires because his place was overgrown with multiflora rose and Honey Locust so it wasn’t a huge deal for him. Just a thought of how to get some good out of those boogers.

Don’t be surprised how long some lists get. Enjoying the channel. Congratulations again on your retirement And enjoy your new career. More people should “Do you” but never take that leap of faith. God Bless. If you start using lists you will eventually get to a point where you have short term and long term goals/to do lists.

When I moved out to the country far from town I got where when I needed something it always waited until I had a really good list of things that ended up waiting to get done then go pickup things you need to keep going again. That running to town just wastes so much time out of a day . If it’s going to rain then that was a good time to get your stuff . And always write it down cuz you will always forget things . Can’t believe the time saving and your back you are saving with your grapple. Great video like always.

The most fun tool I ever bought myself was a chainsaw. I freaked out all the men in the house ... hubs & 2 sons, who were sure Mom would cut an arm or leg off. LOL It took me awhile to learn to crank it but they finally figured they should teach me the proper way to notch and cut trees. I haven't stopped since. When you live on a mountain in the middle of nowhere, it's a constant battle to keep Mother Nature from creeping in on you. I HATE HONEY LOCUST TREES!!!!!!!!!

Consolidating errands to pick up materials, is time management. reduces mileage maintenance on your vehicles, reduces stress & by shifting gears to other projects when at a stand still for parts & avoids burn out. When i first retired, i did not leave the farm for 8 days. On day 9 i was stir crazy, went to town for materials & people to argue with.

Living a rural life is a balancing act on getting the most done each day and this includes when we leave and go into town. I always have a minimum of 3 tasks to do when I leave my place. if you don’t you end up spending all your time driving. With time you will get to where you cherish the many days that you can stay on your place without having to go into town.

JudithB Good job Evan!! I grew mushrooms several years ago and its an interesting project!!! I need new logs to restart. I try to buy everything I need once a month to cut town trips, but I do enjoy eating lunch in town!! I keep a daily log writing down what I want to get done during the week, and what I actually do during a day, along with egg count, garden produce and the weather. Its looking like fall is coming now as the leaves are turning and falling but its really lack of rain and the heat. I need 10 more landscape timbers to finish my driveway edging project, and 12" pins, and I need some 2x4s to start on repairing the inside chicken pen next week. I am setting up everything to start finishing the front porch screening project this week.

Hello to both of you from Kentucky. Evan, I was thinking about your return hydraulic line getting pushed off by the tree limb. I was thinking that maybe you should show the section of your previous video showing what the hydraulic line looked like after the incident happened and your corrective action to TYT. I feel that although that situation was purely an accident, That nonetheless the TYT engineers should be made aware so that they possibly could make possible design adjustments to keep a similar situation like that from happening in the future.
