Do you look at midpoints between all of your natal planets?

Only the strongest midpoints (the ones closest to being partile under two minute orb), but YES, midpoints are where it's at! I love them so much and they're essential to harmonic astrology analysis.

Which harmonic number do I need to put in the chart calculator when I'm downloading a free chart? I'm so confused.

At the beginning, I would focus on what I call The Base Six Harmonics: 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13. Once you master those you can "climb up" into higher primes. So put one of those numbers one at a time in the field and start there. Thank you Nicole!

I bought a harmonic astrology book by John Addey, but it's still a bit over my head. There's a local astrologer in my city I'm learning some basics from, but I still get confused when the Nodes and AC/IC/DC/MC are clumped together. You said the 2 and 3 aren’t relevant . I’m curious for you reasoning why ? Will you be discussing that in your IC class? In the past from Gemini Brett who teaches the geometry that the 180 and the 120 geometric parts are quite important .

Can you point to where I said that? Every number is relevant, ultimately. The 1, 2, 3 and 4 don't have substance for higher octave analysis like the primes do from 5 on, meaning, the 2 (opposition aspect) literally adds "with others" to the analysis, nothing more, the 3h (trine) adds non-stop energy flow, the 4 (square) adds action... that's it! When you get to the Base Six, those numbers have full on worlds and entire dimensions to add to the analysis. It's hard to explain and it seems easy but I honestly don't even start talking about octave analysis in depth until my intermediate course.
