Be safe young man, I've enjoyed this video and will subscribe. I will say be safe . I was young and strong like you. I had a gypo logging/firewood outfit and would shoe horses on the side. Blew out my l6 working with a clients horse and that was the end. For the last 11 years it's been a struggle getting out of bed. Fletching jig is a must. Even as an individual shooter I think it should be in every archer's toolbox. I shot a lot. Like hours daily, every day of the week. Before I hurt my back. Once you shrink the miss, fletchings get damaged or cut off etc. Gotta have that jig. Do you use a helical jig or straight. For my bow and my shooting style helical right hand twist is the way to go. I didn't think I was good, but shot alongside state champions and was always told I was good. I never beat them but I tied the seven time champ in a money shoot. Because we were both tired and good friends we opted to split the money rather than have a shoot out. I never got a chance to shoot a deer, but killed turkeys with my bow. Which was my main goal. Shooting turkeys with archery equipment is a fun exciting challenge
@mountainlifewithdavidkelsie11 ай бұрын
I bought a right helical as well. I don’t claim to be good but I put arrows threw elk hearts so that’s all the better I need to be but I’ve stacked 4-6 arrows at 100 the size of a Copenhagen can when I shot everyday. I stuck a running turkey at 78 yards made a perfect lead
@maddawgnoll11 ай бұрын
@mountainlifewithdavidkelsie A running turkey is a hard target. A running anything is hard really. But that's a long shot too. My best was a Bigfoot at 94 yards ¼" from dead center. But those were the days I shot a ton. I bet if I got back into now I'd be lucky to do that at 40 yards. Haha.

I am back living in northeast Tennessee looking after my 84 year old dad. We have a buck stove insert but he has not burned wood in over 35 years. They had natural gas heat pump installed in their house around 1979. Back in mu older teenage years dad and pur neighbor don davenport use to get me up by 6 am on weekends and we would go cut firewood. I was tye log splitter. The white oak did nor split too easily. So I got really strong from splitting up wood. At 5'11" tall and only weighing 165 lbs it was a good workout. I could crush a baseball as splitting wood made me a strong little guy.

You seem to be overly concerned with what people have to say in these comments and for you to keep mentioning negativity or potential negativity, is kinda unmasculine. Just being honest.
