I picked up one of these last week, after putting a couple tanks through it on 12-20" birch/ poplar I'm really loving this saw. I've got a 28" bar and skip tooth on mine, mostly for ergonomic reasons and because I often wear snowshoes while cutting in the winter. A bit heavy for limbing, but real nice for bucking.

Great camera work ! The more i use my 565, the more i like it - it is really "a perfect firewood saw" as You stated in one of your older videos. Is that Hornbeam ?

Thanks! Yeah I love it. Find myself using it more and more lately. Barely ever pick up the 555 anymore. Yeah it's hornbeam, really dense stuff!

@@elemental4rce It is dense, like beech or oak, but she rips through it with ease...I tested mine in various situations, and i have nothing bad to say about it, except that she's a bit louder than my old 365 😵💫

Have you ever tried hornbeam for handles?

no but it is very heavy and often incredibly twisted grain. Apparently in they used to use it for early brake pads on carriages as it was so hard wearing. Brilliant burning wood once the fires hot enough, lasts for ages and puts out great heat.
