Nice. Why not add a 2nd stop? Just finished 4 boxes, used a hand held router, quarter inch bit, and homemade jig😢. Never again. I was too lazy to set up my dado blade. Plenty more to do, glad i watched your video

A second stop can cause a kickback. I wouldn't advise it

I'm new to bees, building my first box....I'm just wondering why everyone goes through the effort of making these negative (recessed) handles?

The recesssd handles wont fail when picking up a box full of bees or honey. The wooden handles will eventually fail and rip off. The wood behind the handles doesn't dry out well. It will hold moisture and rot prematurely. Boxes stack tightly together when in storage. Hives on pallets fit snug without handles making a void / gaps between Hives. The loose fitting bee suits will catch on the handles when working around bee hives.

Do you have issues with moisture rotting the hand holes

No problems

So my circular saw I turned into a table saw probably doesn’t have the arbor for a dado blade 😢 my dado dreams have been crushed
