thanks for being so transparent. anyone with locks that says they don't have 'issues' such as build up and lent is just lying or unaware bc someone dies their hair and hides it from them. thanks. today I'm making some changes and i came looking for support. you have helped...

Thanks for sharing and being real Phyllis. It means sooo much to those of us newbies (1 yearish) who are still trying to learn to deal with the changes & learn our new hair style. Nice to know what always looks perfect to us is as imperfect as our own. Bless you! Your shorter hair is still sooo GORGEOUS! I hope it really helps a lot. be blessed ~ Suzanne xoxo :D

@Charanors You're absolutely right ! I had sisterlocks for 6 years also, I recently did The Big Chop. I Tried looser, longer periods between retightenings but unfortunately It didn't help. I'm not knocking Sistelocks in anyway but those issues should be disclosed during the Consultation.

Go for it girl! I think it will be liberating and know you'll look great. I've had my SL's for a little over 2 years now and I already feel like the first 5 rows in the front are looking pretty spacy. I'm trying to ease up on how much I retighten and how close to the scalp I get but I may eventually transition out myself if the situation doesn't improve.

Thank you for sharing Phyllis. What people must realize about SL's is that everyones journey is different. The problems that may arise with your health and hair are different. Some people may feel the need for change and want to do the big chop and others may have other reasons, such as yourself. Having SL's is like life, no consultant can tell you how your journey is going to end. Quit frankly, I loved my young lock stage the most because of the fullness, but will continue on.

You are a beautiful person. Do you think your thinning could be hereditary? I thought because Sisterlocks were so small even with length the weight was minimal. Could it be from too tight retightenings? Thanks for sharing. I know whatever your length your hair will be beautiful. Blessings!

Thank you so much for this. I am 49, have been growing my locs for 2+ years and in recent months I have been experiencing the same thing with hair thinning in the front and middle. My hair is on my shoulders which is also a problem now that I am having hot flashes. I am ready to cut my locs off NOW. I wore my hair short and natural prior to getting locs but for some reason I am hesitant to go that short again. Decisions, decisions....

Phyllis, you're beautiful and your loc length won't change that fact. I'm sure the shorter length will be gorgeous, relax, it'll be fine. Thanks for sharing with us.

Does anyone plan on selling their cut sister locks or micro lock hair? I’m trying to find donor hair for a friend.

Phyllis as we age hormonal embalaces can effect our wieght, skin and hair. I would suggest you try herbal supplementation to and change to a more plant based diet. and get your protien from fish. b/c much of our beef, chicken and even eggs and milk contain estrogen to make animals bigger. I recently did questioner about estogen dominance I had all the symptoms that were listed. i lost most of my locs in the crown of ,but since I made these changes my hair is growing back to God be the glory

Are you still selling items on your website? I ordered some items off of the videoloctician website and it took my money, but for over a week it is still saying processing. I emailed you, but no answer yet. I think I just got ripped off.

We're worried about you. You never came back. Your Subies love you and support you no matter what. I do agree with Grossda410. All the women I know (ok, it's only 4 in total) who have had this type o hair loss have other been hormonal, western medicines, or degenerative effect of diet. . . Have a heart to heart with your spirit and she'll tell your what she's upset about. I always believe that your body is so smart that it knows exactly wghat to do to get our attention when it wants us to chang

Why don't you try Biotine Vitamin pills which will thicken your hair from the roots. My Sister's hair was thining and it grew back completely. Just a suggestion. Your locks are beautiful.

Hair looks dry and lacking in nutrients. Do you take magnesium? Research this important mineral. Sprirz hair roots with water. Rub into your scalp your choice of essential oils. Put hair together in a top pony, tucking ends or stand them straight up. Cover hair with a silky scarf. Cover that with a knit cap. Sleep like this every night and wear it when you are chilling. Hair will recover. GOD BLESS YOUR COVERED HEAD ❤

wow.. this seems to be more so balding from pulling and tightening the locks. stop twisting..and your hair will naturally thicken up.. just wash it and leave it
