I used the Amazon cheapies for four years and I didn’t hate them - they’re affordable and a perfect way to start cloth and to see if it’s something you can get into. I splurged on a custom set that is homemade with all different topper materials and patterns and as soon as I got them in the mail, I found out I was pregnant 🙃 baby will be here any day now and I can’t wait to actually use them 😂

Thank you for making and sharing this video. This video highlights the differences in quality between WAHP/WAHM pads and China cheapies. I’ve been constantly seeing reviews on Amazon and Etsy on China cheapies and cheaply and poorly made pads that compare these to high quality/top-notch pads. These reviews typically give the cheapies/poor quality pads a great review, and then favor them in comparison to “the high priced shops” as if they are on the same level. It seems like many people, especially people new to cloth, don’t realize that the pads they call “too expensive” are priced that way because they are made using high quality materials and aren’t made using cheap labor or child labor.

I’m glad I started off with handmade pads. The quality makes all the difference. I don’t believe I’d be successful with cloth pads if I would’ve started out with these. Handmade pads have a higher investment but the quality of the materials makes all the difference

I'd like you to get some Amazon Post-Partum pads and cut them open. It's amazing how they only have one or two layers of material in them for what is supposed to be the heaviest of flows! I recently was looking into them but ended up getting some from Jessica and other sellers on Amazon because they all had 4-5 layers of material inside. I'll say though that I've had a couple packs of Amazon pads for 5+ years that I use as liners (a pack of 8-inch ones and a more absorbant pack of 10-inch for nighttime), and they've served me well. But again, I just use them for a back-up with my menstrual cup.
@JaysNest3 жыл бұрын
I’ll definitely get the heavier flow Amazon pads. I don’t use many liners so the ones I have now probably won’t be well loved, but I do love 12+in pads so I’ll definitely give them a try in a bigger size! You’re probably thinking of a different Jessica though lol. I got these from a subscriber who makes her own pads, not a shop owner.
