JACKPOT! Very nice colour and opacity to the slabs. Been doing the same with my blocks. Some very surprising tones, much more than I anticipated. Thanks again for posting a video!

Just discovered your KZbin account!! I am fascinated by your videos, the jade is outstanding and the trim saw awesome. Could you tell what brand is it and where can it be sourced?

Welcome aboard! The trim saw is home made. I think I have a video talking about it and how I built in on my channel. Somewhere

Great to see the full video Campbell! It looks like you are doing these cuts with no kind of fence, and just free-handing it. Is it hard to get a consistent thickness on your saw? I'm pretty excited as my mate is finally getting onto welding up a saw for me out of stainless built around a 400mm blade, so hopefully cutting depth will be 18ish cm which should be more than enough for anything i will throw at it. Will be interesting to see how it cuts.

Nice one, I use a square against the edge of the table, getting slices square is super important I have found when doing bigger slices. Thinner blades can make issues as they get bigger too.
@thecarvingshed2 жыл бұрын
@@CampbellCarving Ah that makes sense. Do you try to cut along the grain when slicing larger pieces?

@@thecarvingshed yea definitly as much as possible.

What blade are you using for cutting,i am trying to get the right tools for myself
@CampbellCarving2 жыл бұрын
Not a blade expert. I think it is a notched diamond blade, maybe 0.6mm.

Hi there, i have big stone and her colour turned to white.. How do i clean it at home please
@CampbellCarving Жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean. Is it jade?
@mayafatah9303 Жыл бұрын
@@CampbellCarving yes green stone and need to return its shining and green colour
@CampbellCarving Жыл бұрын
@@mayafatah9303 jade doesn't usually go white with age. If it has been worn then it usually gets more polished by the skin. If it is a display piece, then keeping it with a light coat of vegetable or mineral oil can be a good practice if needed.
